RUDEBOY_ParticipantWhenever D-Rose learns to play D-Fense he’ll be the best point guard in the league…Until then he’ll be in the top 3…

Meditated StatesParticipantHave to admit his D is very bad. He had trouble keeping guys in front of him in the world championships seriously I watched closely. I think his speed and quickness is so fast he guesses wrong a lot. I like his game, but the D is really bad.

IndianaBasketballParticipantHe defends well here and there, but yea… His defense is poor. I don’t understand it either considering his athletic gifts.

MelParticipantYeah, Im gona have to agree, his defense isnt the best. That is what stood out to me this summer when watching him and Russell Westbrook play.
They both are incredibly fast, strong, and athletic as hell, but RW is on another level defensively.
If you had to pick who do you choose for 2012 London??
They both can score and pass. For as good a scorer as Rose is, RW gets to the line as much as Durant does this year.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI’d go with Westbrook IF it came down between those two on the 2012 team.
He’s a lion on defense and is very active, which is how Team USA wants to play. I really liked how hard he attack and penetrated into the lane this summer. And by 2012, his jumpshot should be much improved.
It looks like the best players from the 2008 USA team will be playing, so Rose’s scoring might not be needed as much.
