llperezI remember jordan saying that penny hardaway would be the next guy to follow his footsteps and someone asked him about grant hill and jordan said "im not ready to give that to him(grant hill) yet, but Penny’s the real deal."

DanEboyParticipantPenny was the real deal. Injuries killed his career not talent.

llperezdepends what you mean by real deal. He was a superstar but was never gonna be on jordan level. I always thought grant hill was better. When they both went down with injuries i remember very specifically reading articles about how grant was more likely to come back from his injuries becasue his passion for the game was way beyond penny’s. I found that interesting at the time. ANd sure enough, penny never did anything significant again and grant to this day continues to fight for minutes despite multiple surgeries.

bdoody42ParticipantThe poster of this thread posts 95% of the D Rose stuff on this site… Kinda annoying after each game to watch a video and he says he passes whoever is the best player on the other team.
When they play the Magic will Rose overtake Howard? lol
