IDK yo all depend on your team Ed Davis right now ;unlike Brandon Wright he made the right choice and came back to school to deveolp more skill maybe that jumpshot and more weight ,with Favors he will come out early do good in summer league and find himself not getting any shots to find his game right now the mock say tunder with that trio of Durant,Westbrook,Harden he will not get shine at all, Davis is perfect with the wizards

Ed Davis is just as athletic as Favors, and I believe he is longer and probably a little taller. Favors is stronger and has a better outside game, but Davis is a better rebounder with better post skills. It should be evident after this season as both will have played the same competition. Can’t really give one an edge yet….Obviously the UNC/GT game will be the ultimate test.

Ed is the best post prospect coming out next year. He taller, just as athletic, a better rebounder, longer, and has the tools to become a true lost post scorer. While favors tend to play on the perimeter with more of a finesse game. Davis the better player now and will be in the future.

Id go with Favors. He can bang down low and he has a mid range game thats real good too. He showed he was powerful and almost automatic when he seals off in the post. He just needs some more moves down there and we could be talking about the best post player in the nation. Ed Davis is a great prospect because of his potential, and if he gains weight and gets more offensive moves because he is raw right now, I could see him being the 2nd or 3rd pick. He has the physical tools.

Even though Ed Davis is probably my favorite player in college basketball now after Wall I would have to take Favors. Younger, stronger, much better outside game and handle plus he is just as good a rebounder.

They are the same height. Ed Davis is 6’10 215 and Derrick Favors is 6’10 234. I’ve seen Favors a lot and I don’t know if you can say that Davis is a better rebounder as good as he is. Favors is a beast on the boards and snatches up every rebound near him…Both are good around the rim but Favors has a better mid range and outside game.

This year when GT and UNC play each other, we may be able to see who is the better player. Seemingly that they will probably be matched up against each other alot. I Predict……….

    Davis 24 pts 13rbs 3blks
    Favors 16 pts 9rbs

By those numbers it looks like davis is the better player

i really never gave any consideration at all that these 2 players would play each other but now i think about it this could be a very good matchup. all eyes will be on these 2 when they play and i think whoever has the better game will have the inside track on getting picked higher

GT and UNC play each twice next season and possibly again in the ACC tournament.
