ESPN backs him to #3 over DeMarcus and he starts to play really well

after very bad game against Wake in the last 6 games he is averaging 16.7ppg 9.5rpg 2.8bpg and last two were identical with 18&9 one of them against team with good size and length in UNC..

for me top3 picks is clear.. but Favors starts to show he is still top5 or who knows maybe even top3 pick this year

he has been playing pretty well. unc front line is pretty weak although they are big but i wont take away from favors because of it. he was always gonna be a top 5 because of his potential so he never had to worry about that. on a good day he scores the same way as ed davis, not many post movies but with more length and athletic ability

Favors has made a lot of progress lately. Maybe he is just more comfortable out there, but he is hitting jump shots, using drop steps and just over-powering weaker players.

UNC’s players do have height and length but Favors is obviously a great deal stronger than they are. He bullied his way to most of those points.

His work-ethic is what sets him apart for me, but has anybody else noticed he seems lackadaisical on the court? I know that not all players have to be unicorns and cupcakes, but smile once in a while…
