Ive been watching Favors this Summer League and I do believe he will be a good player in this league. His potential is through the roof and he reminds me of a bigger, more disciplined, fundimental and more willing to learn Tyrus Thomas. He has struggled early in sumemr league but he is only 18 years old and he has potential developing a solid face up, post up, and perimeter fuidity offensive game along with his already sound defense. The exact words that come out of my mouth after watching this were as followed…

    HOLY FUCK!!!

Maybe we are watching two different favors. And he’s about to turn 19(not that it matters). He had a good game but was pretty bad before then. Not aggressive and has shown to be a average rebounder. He’s far from ready to be a factor this year. The key word with him is potential. Which is something he has. The best rookie on that team is d James who consistently brought it every day

I definitely agree. He had 1 good game today, a very good one too, but he lacked aggression and was shaky all week before that game.

He isn’t an average rebounder. If you haven’t noticed, nobody has gotten big rebounding numbers really. The guards get a lot more rebounds in the summer league compared to the regular season.

That’s a horrible excuse. Lol. Rebounding has nothing to do with where u are. This isn’t like scoring. Rebounding is positioning and effort. That’s a bad excuse for a player not getting rebounds. If a player ever said something like that to his coach he would get benched

Whatever you say. I guess 4 games of summer league make him an average rebounder…lol.

Summer league play is much more condensed. Favors is going to be a very good rebounder. He does an excellent job of boxing out (though I’d like to see him pursue the ball more) and he has all the physical tools. He proved he was a good rebounder at G-Tech and I don’t see how that can’t translate with his tools.

Favors definitely came out early and is not polished or ready to make the type of impact he wants to. Im just saying he has all the tools to make that impact. I didnt see him play at Georgia Tech so I kind of doubted him before (never said he would be a bust). if youve been watching him play and you cant see that upside go watch tennis!

WHo said he doesn’t have upside? All rookies have upside. None are in there prime or complete players. Not sure what you’re talking bout

Ummmm aren’t we talking bout summer leauge games? He hasn’t played a NBA game and he’s done with college so right now he’s a average rebounder in summer leauge correct? it’s funny some of y’all have given this guy excuses all year when he doesn’t play well but as soon as he does something good a bunch of post pop up. Reality is he has potential but right now he’s raw and not ready. He doesn’t have alot of skills and a low motor. He does what he does because of his length and athletic ability and has a wayys to go before he’s a factor. That’s reality. Watching the games it’s obvious. Read ever site on his performances and it’s obvious. He wasn’t one of the top players there and overall he played average 10ppg 6 or 7reb 3.8 turnovers and 40percent shooting. Does that mean he won’t get better? No but it does show what he can or can’t do against competition that’s way worst then he NBA regular season

I thought you were saying that he’s going to be an average rebounder in the NBA. Yeah, he’s obviously been average in summer league. Your right, he’s raw…But I think he can contribute a lot for the Nets next year. He’s shown a better post game than he did at G-Tech. Not doubt about it, he’s got a long way to go.

This isn’t college though. You can’t just say someone did this in college so for sure they can do it in the NBA it’s a good indication but not a sure thing. He better work on that motor or he will get hisa$$ handed to him
