Mr.Knick 32ParticipantFollowing free agency, this summer has been dominated by trade rumors involving Chris Paul and Carmelo Anthony. While discussing Anthony on Thursday, ESPN.com’s Marc Stein wrote a quick paragraph on Jazz point guard Deron Williams. “I have a feeling he’s next for all these trade stories,” a Western Conference official said of Williams. Utah has seen the departure of Carlos Boozer, Ronnie Brewer and Wesley Matthews since February. Al Jefferson was quickly acquired with little given up in return and the team spent its lottery pick on Gordon Hayward.

Do I agree with this? No. However, this is the second time I seen ” Deron Williams might look for a trade” and decided to post it.
What do you think?

round moundParticipantI think most of these stars will probably end up signing new deals with their current teams. Honestly, I think it’s more likely Carmelo Anthony or Chris Paul change teams then Deron Williams. Personally, I think the Jazz are a perfect fit for D-Will and he would be foolish to leave. Sometimes a particular system and player just compliment one another. I can see Paul leaving if New Orleans doesn’t beef up their roster and become more competitive. I’m not sure what Melo’s problem is. Denver seems like a great fit for him. He has good players around him, and if Karl returns, one of the leagues better coaches. Not to mention they offered him a nice deal.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI don’t think so.
They have a solid playoff team and now the addition of Al Jefferson taking the place of Boozer will be great help. I think they should make a run at Bargnani. Jefferson + Bargnani make a deadly inside out combination.

IndianaBasketballParticipantYou don’t know what Melo’s problem is? Look at his team… They’re all getting old.
Chauncey Billups will be 34 this month.
Kenyon Martin will be 33 and has had a ton of knee injuries.
Nene will be 28 and is coming off of another knee injury.
Chris Anderson just turned 32 and is coming off of knee surgery.
JR Smith is about to be traded.
Al Harrington and Shelden Williams were their big free-agent acquisitions.
George Karl is still somewhat questionable.
The Nuggets have peaked.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantAm I the only one that think Billups shouldn’t have played in the FIBA tournament? I thought he would have taken this offseason to rest.

IndianaBasketballParticipantDamn Mr. Knick 32 lol… I was talking about his health!
And I have no problem with Billups playing in the FIBA tournament. I mean, he plays what… 15-20 minutes per game if that.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantBillups really looks like he’s having fun in FIBA. You know he doesn’t get to consistently get to the rim and finish the way he does in FIBA during regular NBA games.

bullsfan121212they should trade those vets and look to rebuild. i agree they have peaked. i dont think they can do anything with there current roster.
they should trade all those vets and look to put somebody youthful next to melo
but if melo isnt willing to accept a deal that would pay him more than any other team can give him.
its time to trade him too. they need to clear house and start over. anybody over 30 gone.
but it kind of defeats the purpose of signing al harrington. they made a mistake there and were hoping to keep melo happy.

sacphil_08ParticipantGeorge karl is an overrated basketball mind, but as far as coaching guys, getting them to play hard and knowing how to connect with players then he’s one of the very best. But i dont see deron williams requesting a trade. They changed things in utah and are looking very good. If they get beat by the lakers in the playoffs again though he just might request a trade

OhCanada-ParticipantSounds like this article relates to the 3 step media plan we all buy into.
1- Rumours indicate the designated player wants to leave his team.
2-Rumours indicate the designated player wants to play in New York.
3-The designated player does not play in New York.

You sure you read it? Pretty sure they didn’t reference Williams to NY AT ALL. In fact, if you read- It has linked Deron Williams to go back home to Dallas.

OhCanada-ParticipantKnicksboy I am by no means targetting you. I am saying this article is step one and step 2 should be coming soon. I bet if Utah loses their first 3 games or something boom step 2. Or if Jefferson slips and screws up his knee, step 2.

What he’s saying is that it is only a matter of time before the "Deron Williams wants to be a Knick!" rumors start.

also since when is Nate micmillan a better coach then Karl? I don’t recall him ever getting to the finals. Karl has. Scott Brooks? Adelman?
