Can anyone tell me if Curry’s shot is quick enough to launch in less than 0.4? If so, the NBA needs to re-write this rule.

the nba stated in 1990 that a player could catch and shoot the ball with as little as 0.3 seconds remaining. That’s why dereks shot counted. With 0.1 or 0.2 seconds, it cant be a catch it has to be a tip.

      You haven’t answered "that". Can Curry shoot in less than the stated rule of 0.3 in a catch and shoot situation?
      The rule was made before we saw the likes of his quick release. Not trying to be a jerk, just looking for an intelligent answer Llperez.

I think I saw something on ESPN Sports Science which calculated Steph Currys shot.
I can’t recall exactly how fast it was, but it was a a whole tenth-of-a-second quicker than Lebron’s release. I’m sure the video is online, but I’m outta data (I hate Aussie Telecommunications companies. So tight with the 4G data)
