The Nuggets can really run.  Lawson is probably the fastest PG end to end in the NBA.  Faried and Mcgee can fly, Afflalo can run, very entertaining to watch.  Mcgee has a monster block and had his head above rim level on an oop from Lawson.  So far, no bonehead plays from Javale, but there’s still a half to play…

javele has blown a couple close shots that just leave me thinking this guy needs to get pissed off, not for a game, but for a summer. Just hit the weights and run some gym time pissed off and he could be a difference maker.

But yeah, as for denver being fast, holy hell i dont recall in my life ever seeing a team this fast. Its the only thing keeping them somewhat in the game, buts its fun to watch.

    Lakers in 4

yeah they were flying! brewer can really get out and run on the break too. only problem is they dont have the proper bigs down low to contain andrew bynum and keep gasol in check at the same time. not to mention whenever they get a little momentum the lakers just put the ball in kobes hands to get a big bucket. If Mcgee and mozgov got some more patience in the paint defensively and didnt bite at every fake the lakers bigs give them i think this series would be more interesting then what it will end up being.

liperez Lakers in 5.  They will wise and give Denver a game so they don’t have 2 games against OKC without Artest.  Artest played great D on OKC and it would be wise to have him for one of OKC home games.  If they can steal a home game, it makes it easier to win the series.  They could probably do it without him but why chance it.  I am sure they can sweep if they want to but game 4 they will be some weird subsitutions.

@sheltwon, you sound like my coworkers. They are saying if they lakers are smart at all, they intentionally lose a game or two. I guess i just cant think like that. But yeah it does make sense.

Javale Mcgee since becoming a Nugget his game attitude effort has changed for the better. I see him becoming a good player now.

The Nuggets are really young, but they have a lot of guys who’ve barely scratched the surface of their talent level with a ton of depth.  Javale, Gallo, Faried and Lawson can all get significantly better, while Afflalo, Brewer, Chandler and the bigs are all very good role players, potentially.  This team isn’t ready yet, but I love their future.  If I’m Sac I’m blowing up the phone to trade Evans for Faried and Koufos. Faried with Cousins would be absolutely insane.

How did a thread about the Nuggets speed turn into a Lakers praising thread?

But seriously though, the Nuggets are very athletic. They got faster when they traded Nene for Mcgee, who doesn’t give the same solid offense, but is a better fit on this team long term as he won’t ask for the ball much and just let the other guys give him occasional open dunks. With Nene, the game slowed down a bit for the Nuggets, as he would usually try to get shots in the post.

I got neg for stating the obvious.  If you are playing for a championship you coach tactfully.  Lakers win game 3 lose game 4 which is in Denver and come back home and close it out.  althought I can’t remember if they do 3 in Denver or not.
