DondiJohnParticipantWho’s gonna be his backup? I dont see him playing 38+ mins with his frail body.

r377ParticipantGood question.
They just waived Will Bynum and Jarrett Jack is still a while from coming back. Leaves this playoff team a bit exposed at the moment….

Mr. HookShotParticipantDo they have a place on their roster left? If so, they should consider signing a veteran PG, one who will not complain when remaining stuck on the bench, to back-up Schroeder. While there are several veteran PGs yet to be signed, I believe they should either (re-)sign Kirk Hinrich, or sign Steven Blake.

Bankroll PJParticipantThey’re optomistic that Malcolm Delaney can suffice as their back up PG. Played at VaTech and overseas for a few seasons and the Hawks picked him up this offseason. He struggled in the 1st game while playing 20 min, but I think he’ll be fine

HitsterParticipantA servicable back up PG would have seemedv a logical pick up for the Hawks since they gave Schroeder the keys to the team. I agree he cannot be expected to play crazy minutes after being a back up for a few years, anything over 35mpg is excessive for most players in my book.
If Schroeder broke down then the Hawks would have a real issue,
