Brewer
Beasley
Love
CousinsThat’s a deadly lineup… If Rubio comes next season and they were able to pull off a blockbuster trade for a good shooting guard….. It could’ve been better than the Miami Heat starting 5…
Rubio
Monta Eliis? Ben Gordon?
Beasley
Love

ZaratukParticipantThanks for that good joke

SealioParticipantRubio will not play for the wolves as long as Kahn is there. Those are a lot of “ifs” you just threw out.
“IF” they would have just drafted lebron James, Dwight Howard, chris Paul, tim Duncan, and traded for Kobe then they would’ve had a good team.
What a joke! You wolves fans are just as crazy as KAHN!

Bison 49ParticipantNot better than the heat. Guys are still young/unproven (as elite players) except for maybe Ellis. No clue how the chemistry could be. Defence could be terrible. Tons of ifs, this probably would not work in 2K10. But liking the Wolves, it is cool to think about …
Currently:
– Rubio supposedly has defensive ability, but that was Calderon’s strength coming over too. Nothing is known about him. I hope Flynn improves at his playmaking ability as insurnace incase Rubio does not come over. (Imagine if they Wolves took Curry as Rubio insurance …)
– They are not getting one of those SGs. Brewer could be their defensive stopper for the wing positions (guarding the quick perrimeter threat). They might also be able to play Johnson here as well, although I have not seen him play much, so don’t know.
– I sure hope Beasley works out and decides to be the 20 and 8 SF he should be.
– Love should/could be able to help make up for Flynn’s shoot first mentality with his playmaking abd passing ability. Great rebounder. Should be good.
– The Wolves Brass will give Darko a good look to start and give him a lot of minutes. He played really well when he got a lot of minutes in Orlando. There are a lot of guys

ChrischiParticipantHe would have fit perfectly, I agree. But it looks like Kahn preferred Darko as his 5.

dipt1982ParticipantDon’t sleep on Brewer, his potential is still there. A more athletic/offensive version of Bruce Bowen. He can lock down the stars of opposing teams. Cousins would have been nice, but I’m not totally sure he’s a 5 in the NBA, maybe an over-sized 4. Exactly why he will fit great in Sacramento with Jason Thompson at the 5 and him at the 4…

Toronto16ParticipantThat would be a great line up. But better than the Heat? The Heat have 3 of the top 10 players in the NBA in their starting line up. None of those guys are top 10 on the Wolves.

dipt1982ParticipantYeah, it’s just an insane comment, I’m baffled.

whyyouhatingParticipantgood joke
3 top 10 players 2 top 5 players< Rubio, Monta Eliis? Ben Gordon?,Beasley, Love, Cousins
1. you did not get Rubio, new flash kid doesn't want to play there. He is being polite and saying he does when
2. Cousins's is a King
3. none if these guys are top 10 and won't be in the next 5 years. May be Cousins but check number 20 - Posted on: Thu, 07/15/2010 - 3:41am #354623

PlatypusParticipantBruce was a one and only you cant compare others to Bruce Bowen its like comparing players to Wilt or Kareem

joecheck88Participantthis is just as funny as when kahn was on nba tv last night at the summer league game talking about darko, and kahn asking c webb when he first got comfortable in the league and said me and darko dont belong in the same sentence(and he was right). kahn also said darko can be like a vlade divac in the league and he is more mature. kahn is in love with darko and i feel really bad for minny fans because hearing this guy talk confirms that he is a moron. this team has no direction and they wont be getting any directions while kahn is gm.

GodfatherParticipantYeah, and if the Knicks had LeBron, Kobe, Dwight, Paul, Gasol and their bench was Wade, Bosh, Deron, Boozer, and Nash, they’d be pretty good too. Think about it. That team could win a few titles!!
The knicks should pull off those blockbuster trades to get that kind of line up

PlatypusParticipantwhat are your trade ideas to get Ellis or Gordon
0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/15/2010 - 4:37am #354651
arc1212Participanta nice little line up…i think moving beasley to the the 3 would help him
plus love and cousins in the paint is pretty darn good
plus flynn/rubio depending on who they trade for a SG…that’s a solid little team
maybe even borderline playoffs in the west like a memphis
but better than the heat starting 5? haha that’s just straight trash0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/15/2010 - 4:49am #354657

Meditated StatesParticipantAfter listening to him talk I can’t believe they let this wack job take over. He is f ing insane. Jefferson playing with D Will is going to make Khan look even dumber. He gave up the most gifted post scorer in the league right now. Jefferson will be a full year removed from his knee surgery so he will be 22 and 10.He keeps Love and sighns Darko, and Ridnour?

omphalosParticipantT’Wolves need to stop trying to make an immediate impact and think long-term. Let the young guys grow and get minutes; if they have a nice young core, Rubio MIGHT consider playing for them.
One thing about that Heat comment, that lineup won’t be better than the Heat lineup for at least 4 years, but in the 5th and 6th years of that Heat deal, some of the young teams in the NBA like the Thunder and Bulls will be nipping at their heels if they can just plan long-term and have hope for the post-Big 3 NBA.

FDAPOThis thread will be worth bumping in a few years.
Rubio is going to be one of the best PGs in the league.
Martell Webster will turn it around in Minny…
Beasley will be a Carmelo type player…
Love is going to be an All Star as well…
They’ve got a lot of draft picks and other guys are will develop as well. They should trade Flynn, Brewer and draft picks for a legit center….
I’m not even a wolves fan….. Rubio + Beasley and Love is potentially an amazing lineup. And Cousins would beat the shit out of Z or Joel Anthony or whoever they start at center.

dipt1982Participant@symbol…you need to watch some tape, Brewer plays some lock down defense, and scores better than Bowen, even if he’s not as tenacious on D, he brings it in so many other ways, a ton of steals, he gets you blocks and plays D on the opposing best player.
All this talk about Cousins is a pipe-dream, he’s in SACRAMENTO!!! Beasley will pan out eventually, not quite to Carmelo proportions, but a solid player. Martell Webster is simply a spark off the bench, or a role playing starter, nothing more…and Love will be solid, but also not gonna be a 23-12 kind of guy…
