A night after Rudy gay dropped 41 on 25 shots, his former teammate Demar Derozan put up 40 pts in 22 shots. Anything you can do I can do better. Demar Derozan at age 24 will only get better with his work ethic. Demar Derozan definetly should be in serious conversation for Allstar considerations.

Props to Rudy Gay tho, mans balling in Sacramento.

I am so happy the raptors traded Gay, I’ve always been big on DeMar and when they got Gay it worried me and now that he’s gone and demar can be that go to guy again, he’s flourished. I’m excited to see where he goes from here.

Demar should totally be in consideration for an All-Star selection. A lit of players make it in for their rep, but DeMar has performed well. The dude is a ( for now, and very much likely for a long time ) a Top 5 SG.

Derozen is averaging 20 a game but is shooting a career low 42%. I think Kyle Lowry is actually more deserving of an all star slot for Toronto. He has a PER of 20.00 which is almost 3 points better than DeRozen. Both guys might actually be deserving and Demar is clearly the more entertaining option but Lowry would be quite a notable snub.

I can see Stehpenson and Derozan battling for last spot.

I much as Stephenson is one of my faves I think that Derozan has earnt a spot on that team. Lance has been unbelievable, however that Raptors are now over .500 and deserve a represntative in the game and I think Derozan is that guy.

you might be right but one thing i do know, is if lance get that spot then the pacers are gonna have a hard time giving lance the money he might think he deserves.

I think the last two spots are between Bosh, Stephenson, DeRozan, and Lowry.

One thing thats always annoyed me about Derozan is he has never rebounded even at an average level for a guy with his size and elite athleticism. Career averages of 3.6, 4.6 this year which is better but still not great.

Lowry is probably more deserving, but they both are.
Derozan is still prone to taking horrible shots and shooting a low percentage. But when he plays in flow of the offence, nights like last night happen.

He has tons of talent, but he’s still prone to force things.

But yeah, he’s obviously the more entertaining option, but Lowry has been the Raptors MVP.

It probably won’t happen since Orlando is terrible, but I would say Afflalo has been better than DeRozan.  Their stats are pretty much identical except Afflalo does it far more efficiently.
