Tell me a better offseason FA signing than Delly at 9m per season.

He was one of the best players at the Rio Olympics and has his own line of signature shoes that both look and feel great.

For a Role Playing type PG, hes the best in the league. Mostly defers, but still puts up efficient numbers no matter the system. College, Cavs, Bucks, Internationally.

Hes all intangibles. Lost in the stat nerds toolbook is the value of things like getting bigs involved (lobs), hard work at practice and putting the team first.

Its time some of the haters came forward and admit that Delly proved them wrong. I’ll name and shame if I have to.

I’ll admit that Jason Kidd and the Bucks Front Office proved Me wrong continuously with their brazen gambles. But since they started gambling, everything just keeps coming up Milwaukee, so power to them.

This is a sneaky 4th seed type team with Delly running the ship for 32 mins per night.

In other news, my earlier prediction for Dante Exum being an All Defense 1st team contender look spot-on.

4 amazing blocks in 13 minutes tonight. Once hes up around 30 minutes per night he will start getting serious DPOY consideration.

       Stats Buffs will like this…..

Dante Exum is the first guard to ever block 4 shots in 13 or fewer minutes in NBA History.

      Think about that.

Certainly a good signing. Especially compared to Parsons. Having said that my opinion is that almost all contracts look good compared to that. I also like Milwauke’s roster somewhat young talented with a bit of depth.

Man I hope you’re right about Exum. After a year off I’ll be happy to see improvement and glimpses of stardom this year and if injury free I look forward to a breakout third year.

Hayward first, now Alec Burks, I’d watch out for Gobert or Exum holding my breathe and crossing my fingers…

I like Delly. Good team player. Good intangibles.

The question you have to ask is: are you willing to have your point guard out-produced every night? Because while Delly does good work, he will consistently lose his matchup.

In the Bucks situation, they don’t need a point guard who is producing a ton. He might be a good fit there, but I’m not sold that Bucks roster can be a contender, even with further development of their young guys.

On the other hand, Exum is entering his 3rd year and can’t get more than 13 minutes in a game. The Jazz always seem to be good a talent evaluation, but they continue to trade for or sign guys who will take minutes from Exum. Maybe they know something we don’t.

The jazz traded for hill because they needed a proven veteran to shore up what was a position of major weakness last season. They are a team with real goals of earning a top 4 seed in the west this season, and I don’t think they have confidence that exum is seasoned enough at this point to play big mins at the point for a contender. While it is technically his third season it’s really only his second since he was out all of last year and is still working his way back. I wouldn’t necessarily take them signing hill as a sign that they don’t have confidence in exum to be a big piece for them long-term. They are just in a situation where they are bringing him along slowly because of the injury and the fact they are trying to contend.

The Jazz have said it before that Exum is there future. But he’s in a similar situation to Embiid where his minutes need to be watched. Hill’s contract is up at the end of the year and I’m guessing the Jazz will ask him if he wants to come off the bench as Exum will likely be the starter… Even as early as the All Star break. So, we aren’t signing people to take Exum’s playing time, but he has to be eased back into the game. Otherwise, he’ll have another injury,
