Stop_basketball_nonsenseParticipantSo deandre Jordan of the clippers clubs with the okc dynamic duo after losing to the thunder. I know we have a lot of guys on this site who embrace this new era of the nba, but is there any old school thoughts? I couldn’t party with the guys who just beat me. What side side or take do you have?

TarHeelRavenParticipantI am pretty sure Jordan, Reggie Miller and John Starks were not at the club after playing each other. It’s just a different era and a different NBA now. There’s nothing wrong with it. Guys are so buddy buddy these days. Nobody truly hates each other like they did in the 80’s and mid 90’s. I think hate is a good thing. Not hate like wanting to kill each other but the ultimate in competitiveness like the Lakers-Celtics and Bulls-Knicks. Not saying guys arent competitive today, but it’s nothing like it used to be.

Hype MachineI played even harder when my friends were on the other team because bragging rights is something money can’t buy….so it’s not like you’d lose motivation just because you have a beer with them after the game.

ExumInfernoParticipantD Jordan doesn’t care about his team, and he isn’t sure which one he is on.
Clipper, Warriors, Clippers, Mavericks, Clippers, and now he hopes for OKC. He signed an offer sheet with the Warriors, and recently verbally agreed to join Dallas, so not too loyal to the Clippers.
Blake and the Thunder don’t get along, so Jordan was insulting his teammate by doing this.

Hype MachineHaha what if a work colleague told you who you were allowed to be friends with.
My response would probably be one of laughter.

SubZeroParticipantNo way I’d go out with guys who just beat me during the season. In the offseason, sure. But not when you’re trying to win a championship
