ZEOParticipantWell being a hard core bobcats fan i’m hoping that we get the number one draft pick. Unless we get screwed by the lottery which could happen. I just have a feeling that the Hornets well get it just think about it.
2011-Cavs because of Lebron James (Kyrie Irving)
2010-Wiz owner Abe Pollin died (John Wall)
2012- They lose Chris Paul
But any way if we do get it i dont want to waste it, are draft picks have turn out to be what everyone thought they would be. I think we should take Drummond, we need offense ever since we were a starting franchise, he has everything i would want in a player, also him and Bismack could be a crazy combo.
Davis is so gifted but as a Bobcats fan i know he couldn’t fell what we need. I just dont see him being a big time scorer in the NBA but he well have Marcus Camby knumbers.
Im just saying i would rather have Amare Stoudemire than Marcus Camby if you know what i’m saying

frogmanParticipantTake Anthony Davis and chuck him and Biyombo on the front line. You will still probably go about 5 – 77 but you will lead the league in blocks and that’s something. And then I’ll start campaigning for the Bobcats to be called ‘Swat City.’ Together we can put Charlotte back on the map.

scbe2223ParticipantFirst off, I feel for you because you’re a bobcats fan. They make some silly decisions in Charlotte. To address your question however, I think Davis is the correct pick, and i’m not sure Drummond will come out this year. That being said, it wouldn’t surprise me in the least to see Barnes go to the bobcats. Jordan is too big of a homer to ever properly run a franchise.

providencefriars1ParticipantYa if im the Bobcats im hoping for Barnes to fall to them if they are 4 or 5 or Drummond with a top 3 pick. You could take Barnes at three also. Their worst case would be the 2nd pick because Davis is pretty much a lock for top 2 and he doesnt compliment Biyombo well.

ZEOParticipantscbe2223, your so right about drafting Barnes!!!! His not trying to when his trying to sell tickets is what he is doing, but what he doesnt understand if he wins he sell more tickets i cant deal with MJ anymore

butidonthavemoneyA Biyombo/Drummond combination in the post could be interesting, but the Bobcats don’t have the best track-record when it comes to developing talent. Davis is more polished, and it’s easier to project what they’ll get with him. Kemba Walker and Anthony Davis could be a nice foundation to build around. You probably won’t like this, but I still think Biyombo will be best suited as a bench player in his prime.
Ugh… A LOT of work needs to be done with the Bobcats. They should also have a top-5 pick in next year’s draft, which would give the team a nice core of young talent with a fresh payroll (especially if they can shed the Tyrus Thomas contract).

sheltwon3ParticipantI think Bobcat go with Barnes and the UNC connection. Davis would be a good move but they have a lot of young bigs and may need to grab a veteran to pair with their younger players and grab Barnes to seel tickets and be their sf of the future.

FastAndFuriousParticipantLol when I click on the Davis vs Drummond threads I think it’s the one made from yesterday, or 2 days ago or 2 hours ago or 30 minutes ago, or a week ago lol
I swear it’s a new thread about them every 10 mins.

mcbaileyParticipantI’d draft Anthony Davis for the unibrow alone.

hiphopismylifeParticipantI would take Davis. His offense isn’t great yet but he shows a very good looking stroke that he just needs more reps with. He will get stronger, be an impact defender, and will end up as a face up big. He’s got more upside offensively than Marcus Camby had. More ability to break you down off the bounce. And most important he has the kind of motor and work ethic that could point a struggling franchise in the right direction.
I do believe Drummond will become a rare commodity, and even as I write this i’m still not totally sold it’s the right move lol, but I always say if all else fails and you’re stuck trying to decide between two guys, making a habit of taking the one who consistently plays hard and is productive everywhere he plays is a smart move.

Mr. 19134ParticipantWhat do you mean the Bobcats need more offense so you would rather draft Drummond over Davis? Because Davis is averaging more points and is a way more polished offensive player right now then Drummond, so why would you draft the worse offensive player?
Anthony Davis is not the next Marcus Camby he’s way better then Camby ever was as a prep and can do so many more things. Davis has the potential to score more points next year in the pros then he does this year because he has so many tools.
If your team get’s the first pick you should elated that you’re going to get not only the best player in the draft off the bat, but the player who also has the most potential in the draft too. That’s rare and that’s why he’s going to be the first pick who will be the first pick regardless of who the personell on the team is.

del90ParticipantI’d take Davis in a heartbeat since neither are surefire superstars. At least Davis has more upside and versatility. But who really cares? Give me Jabari in 2016, playing next to Rose. Oh yeah, Charlotte.

Prime_TimeParticipantThis seems to be a deep and talented draft class, i don’t think either Davis or Drummond is the slam-dunk #1 overall pick..though maybe this won’t be the case in 2 months. Bobcats have

Prime_TimeParticipantThis seems to be a deep and talented draft class, that said, if Charlotte does indeed end up with the #1 pick i don’t think either Davis or Drummond is a slam-dunk pick. Charlotte needs low post scoring more than anything. Their young bigs are defensive specialists (Thomas Biyombo). What does that leave them with? I don’t see either of these guys averaging 20ppg their rookie seasons..i know that is alot to ask. I would say Drummond has a better chance to get to 20ppg quicker, and i don’t think Davis EVER will.
The reason i’m bringing up these points is that i think SULLINGER is the right pick. Let’s be honest, if he possessed Andre Drummond’s current frame (maybe an inch taller and more chisled overall in comparison)+his current offensive game, Sullinger would be getting more #1 pick consideration already. I really don’t think his lack of athleticism will cap his potential as much at the next level. To me he is a guy that can come in and give Charlotte 20-10 right away. Kemba needs SOME pressure taken off him. That said, as was posted already, I’m pretty confident NO will snag the #1 pick and grab Davis or Drummond.
