Raef LaFrentzParticipantThat’s a lot of money tied up for ’14-’15, assuming they will be giving PG24 his 14mil a year extension.. Lance Stephenson still needs to get paid too. I wonder how this is all going to play out down the road?

TRC1991Participantcould have gotten carl landry for 1/2 the price and 85% of the production

HobbyOGParticipantCarl Landy is no David West…

doubledribblerParticipantLosing West would have been a big blow, but I get what you are saying. Pretty much go for the idea of you can get close enough in production at not nearly the same price. With that said, I have always seen Landry as the first big off the bench and not really as a starter.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantOuch, that’s a pretty big contract for a 33 year old

joecheck88ParticipantSmall market team with improving players and within a game of the finals. This is a deal they had to make. Make another run or two and worry about him being overpaid that final year.

RafterParticipantBare in mind that the foundation of West’s game isn’t dunking on people’s head. He’s highly fundamental which promises longevity in a player’s production, look at Duncan and Dirk obviously West isn’t in their class but in terms of being a shrewd and cerebral operator those two guys have averaged consistent statistics in their latter years. I believe West can replicate that consistency to a lesser extent in averaging 14-17ppg and 6-8rpg over the next three years.

IndianaBasketballParticipantI was hoping the Pacers could get David West at 3 years @ $30 million with a player option for the 3rd year, but I’m not mad at this… He deserves it. He’s changed the culture of the entire team. He’s worth every bit of that $12 million per year.
Hopefully, the Pacers can get Paul George signed to an extension this season.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThank God the Pacers have rescinded Tyler Hansbrough’s offer
Hopefully they can find a taker for Gerald Green’s contract.
They’ll need every penny this summer.

doubledribblerParticipantI still cannot believe that he did not develop into a solid role player. He was kind of like a hockey goon. Come in and knock some people around for a few minutes.

SuckerpunchParticipantI don’t mind the deal, only I would’ve only given 2 years because he’s pretty old and has had his injury troubles. The pacers had to give hm the 3 dthough. They could not afford to lose him as he balances out their lineup perfectly. When roy goes missins DWest is still always there doing his thing.

festar35ParticipantHappy for Indiana and D-West. He has really been a great addition and I hope he continues on the way he does. Have heard rumors of the Pacers opening the market on Granger and Green as well.
