tblazer_NZParticipantDavid Lee has signed with the San Antonio Spurs for 2 year $3.2m deal with a player option.

Not sure how much time he will get with Deavis Bertans and Livio-Jean Charles being signed as his Defense is quite poor.
What are your thoughts on this pick up?

ChoppyParticipantGives the Spurs added depth in the front court. Solid rebounder, championship experience and a high quality team guy. Poor defender though, but a low cost move that won’t affect their cap position moving forward.

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantMaybe replaces what David west gave them last year. Probably won’t play a huge role but he’s one of those guys you could throw in there in a key situation and know he won’t be rattled because he’s been there before. Cheap frontcourt depth and a good guy to have in the locker room and he’s still an effective pick and roll player in short stretches. Should fit nicely in San Antonio.

halfdecayedParticipantChampionship experience? Pretty sure he rode the bench for Golden State that year. By your standards Brian Scalabrine would add championship experience to the Spurs too I guess.

ChewyParticipantthe value of a bench player who won’t F&^% up your team chemistry.

sheltwon3ParticipantD Lee was key in the Cavs series when Bogut was taken out and they needed more scoring. Lee would have been a better option than Ezili and GSW would have two rings.

HitsterParticipantHe gives experience, as said he’s a good team man, still only 33 years old, can play when needed, can help mentor the younger guys they have brought over, has his title so it’s a low risk move for both sides.

natevalParticipantThat’s what Boston thought they were getting too. Unfortunatley Lee wanted more playing time

Dazzling Dunks and Basketball BloopersParticipantBoston actually picked Lee up last summer with the expectation of him playing a bigger role. He started in the beginning of the season but he admittedly wasn’t in great shape and quickly saw his pt dwindle and they eventually just got rid of him. He did work himself back into shape throughout the year and actually played pretty well for Dallas at the end of the year. He won’t be coming into San Antonio expecting to play a big role, but he can still be effective when he does play.

CynthiaParticipantI like it, I miss the old Lee. If anyone can bring back some flashes of the old Lee it’s Pop.

DolanCareParticipantInteresting pick up. I wanted to see him in Miami. I thought he could have hidden on defense with Whiteside in the middle.
