Followed him all throughout the year. What do you think his chances of getting drafted are? First round?

I think he’ll go late 2nd round, his injury really messed him up, if it never happened he’d be a first rounder….

true. the only reason i consider first round is because his agent says a team still has him on their board for a late first round pck

first round talent. but that injury ruined his career possibly. if hes fully recovered hes one of those guys that can help out as a rookie .he can shoot, defend and pass. i think hell probably go late second to maybe undrafted.

at least he is a safe pick. could easily have a rehab year in europe if a team drafted him in the 2nd round and sent him overseas. i really wanted to see him healthy for the draft because i thought he could of gotten drafted higher than devin ebanks. also i wonder how he would of measured at the combine. is he a legit 6’7? any thoughts?

I think he’s going to be an undrafted free agent. I still think there’s a good chance he’ll be in the NBA next year, but I don’t think he is going to be taken in the draft.

I find it hard to believe he won’t be drafted. I could see him getting picked up by a contender in the late first at absolute best or a team with multiple draft picks in the second, though as MagicKnick said, he will likely go late second because of the injury. He has time to recover, though, it’s not like the NBA season starts tomorrow…. I know he doesnt scream D-League, but I would send him there to recover and perhaps add a new element to his game.

I feel like if he a team in the last first round looking to draft him, I have a feeling it would be a team with multiple picks and the two teams that come to mind is MIN and MEM. They both have 3 first round picks and with their 3rd pick, why not take a proven American player instead of a International player that you send overseas for 2-3 years. I mean yes Butler will not be ready for this year most likely so instead of taking a international player waiting overseas and devloping for 2-3 years why not take Butler, when he recovers can be a solid role player.

hes a natural leader and if he fully recovers from the injury, he’ll be a solid pro. late 2nd round
