Darnell Jackson Interested In Returning Home To OKC
    M

    Aug 29, 2009 7:06 PM EST
Cavaliers forward Darnell Jackson is from Oklahoma City and is interested in playing at home.

“Ever since they got the team, I thought about coming home,” Jackson told the Oklahoman. “Just hopefully I get a couple years under my belt, become a vet and maybe I’ll get that chance to come back home and play.”

Jackson averaged 1.9 points and 1.7 rebounds for Cleveland as a rookie in 2008-09.

Personally i think this would be a great opportunity for him
he gets to play at home in front of his family. and he would probly get some mintues. because the thunder need size.

I’m a KU fan so i’ve seen Jackson play a lot. In 2007 I never would have dreamed he would be playing for the Cavs right now, but the guy worked his butt off between his junior and senior year and not only got drafted but made a 60 win team as a second rounder. He isn’t going to play many minutes for the Cavs, but i agree with you truth, I think he could be a good addition to the Thunder, he is a beast on defense and has a pretty good mid-range jumper. He’s listed at 250 or so, but I think he’s more like 270 and its not because he’s overweight, He could definitely give the Thunder some much needed size and toughness.

He’s a perfect 10th or 11th man, but he would give the Thunder size. I think it would be a solid move.

i mean he was a starter on the kansas team that won the national championship 2 years ago, if that means anything to you.. it would be a good look for okc.. but they really need a pf who is effective on the court already, i would want to say someone like david lee, but he wouldnt even have to be that good. just a big pf to grab boards and play defense.

okc would be a great fit for jackson. he could add some muscle, size for their team, which they so badly need.

He could be a great practice player as far as knocking BJ Mullins around in the paint and hopefully showing him how to actually use his size and athleticism to his advantage. Jackson has a lot to offer a team even if he doesn’t play a ton of minutes.
