kanebangerParticipanti dont know why min thinks darko is the only starting caliber player on mins roster to me hes a bench player. I dont get why you try so hard to resign this bum. If anyone saw the nba.com draft preview for MN they said that after a team meating sources said darko is the only starting caliber player on the team. If they think that this is the dumbest franchise in the world.

torontoraptors10ParticipantI would have to disagree. I’d say Milicic has a soft personality and his ego was smashed in Detroit as was his playing time and play. From then on he has played terribly. By signing with Minnesota long term you have a team that believes in him and he is a decent player nonetheless. As long as he has confidence in his play he will do fine in Minnesota.

sheltwon3ParticipantMinny signed Darko and some Euro guy who is said to be feel good so they seem set at Center and if Minny can get scoring from else where, all Darko would need to do is be a Joel Pryzabilla type and he can do more than that if he stays confident. The big thing now is Minny needs to move Al Jefferson or Kevin Love. The also need to pick up a two guard unless they feel Webster can do it.

ajk004ParticipantIn context the quote about Darko being the only starting caliber player was about him playing on both ends of the floor. They were stating Love/Jefferson could be all-stars if they learned D. Darko was the only starter on the team the played NBA average at both ends. Not great mind you, but acceptable and good enough for $5 million to hold down the 5.

T-WOLF FANParticipantIf the T-wolves don’t trade Jefferson or Love, these two recent Free Agent signings by the T-wolves will be a big waste of money.
These two recent Free Agent signing by Kahn are just another example of a team falling in love with their own players. They should have looked elsewhere before signing Darko and Pekovic.
Darko had a decent year with the wolves, but does that really warrant the contract he just got? The same goes for Pekovic… he was a second rounder in 2008, I guess he did good in Europe but that doesnt always translate to success in the NBA.0 - Posted on: Thu, 07/01/2010 - 7:36am #344807
McWinningParticipantMartell Webster can be a decent starter.
The one month Roy was out he averaged 15.5 points, and 5 rebounds. Hes also a very good defender.
Itll be interesting to see how he does on a team without an dominant players like when Roy was out (Roy was still in some of those games too) if Jefferson leaves i could see him averaging around 15-17 points if hes given a lot of playing time.
