I created a new topic rather than hijack the Cousins/Kings/Celtics thread that was just posted.

If I were a Celtics fan I’d feel very confident knowing that Ainge has plenty of options to explore a trade or trades. Most forum members would agree that Boston is missing the top end talent and blue chip young prospects to compete for a championship without adding a player or players of that caliber through the draft or trade. However Ainge can be patient because the Celtics have collected so many assets that have trade value to a wide range of other teams:

Veterans with expiring contracts – Lee, Johnson, Turner, Jerebko

Veterans under relatively valuable contracts – Thomas, Bradley, Crowder (once he becomes eligible to be traded)

Young players with varying upside on their rookie contracts – Smart, Olynyk, Sullinger, Zeller, Rozier, Hunter, Mickey, Young

Numerous future 1st Round picks that I won’t list

While it is imperative that Ainge gets something of value by utilizing some of the expiring contracts that they are unlikely to re-sign, he can be patient. If I were another GM in the NBA looking to make a trade for almost any reason, the Celtics would be at the top of the list as a potential trade partner (given their variety of assets). Trading for Cousins may be a good option for Boston, but they will have plenty of time to make the type of game-changing trade(s) that fans are looking for.

Low fg% shooting big who has nice stats. Stats mean nothing when your personality sucks and your leadership skills suck. I would avoid him. Celtics should be patient. Look for a stable minded star or stay put. Cousins was the most talented player in his draft in my opinion, yet I always said he would be a head case. Cousins is bad for team morale and its easy to see. Horrible attitude, childish, low fg% shooting big.
