valentinei watch this kid and i see him going through the same steps as cole did. hes a very very good shot blocker now. rough around the edges but you see the talent there. a lil more athletic as far as jumping then cole. foot work needs work but he shows the flashes of getting it together. by year 3( if he stays past next year) i think he will be on that level that cole is on. might put up better numbers if kentucky isnt as deep as this years kansas team

HandDownManDown13ParticipantHe doesnt get the kind of touches and numbers for you to see it, but his reputation coming out of high school was to be a very good back to the basket scorer. You’ll get to see more of it next year when he’s a bigger part of the offense. I see him being better than aldrich.

QUINCEYhe gets it enough to see. and i dont take into account hs because hes guarded by 6’5 guys most of the time. cole used to get the same touchs as orton and looked almost the same as a freshman. you get mnore touches when you produce with the lil touchs that you do get. thats why he doesnt get alot of touchs. he’s raw right now which is why kentucky is the perplace for him to play behind two better big men so he can learn step by step. and cole in hs was the same way with great post moves and dominating against hs big men. its alot different when you going against college bigs every night

JNixonParticipantI like Orton. He’s shown some raw moves (turnaround jumper and jump hook) that are promising. Nothing great though.
I think he can be a Kendrick Perkins type. A 5th option who rebounds and plays tough D.

QUINCEYtrue..thats good then because perkins is turning into a better offensive player every year

Bryant24ParticipantYeah orton is a solid big man he may not be a star in the league but he will get burn because he’s a tough bug guy who likes to hold defense

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantI’m interested to see him next season. He could be a great big under Calipari.
He has all the tools to be a 1st rounder next year
