I’m usually not quick to judge players after one game, but I really think he should have stayed in college for at least 1 more year. I think he only had 3 points with like 5 fouls, 3 rebounds, 2 blokcks (sounds like Kentucky , huh lol) got a couple shots rejected, not to mention getting ejected for his little scirmish with Josh McRoberts and this is just the summer league. I hope he gets better because I hate to see players fail but I question the fact that he came out

People always talking about Cousins being immature hell he is nothing compared to Orton. As a Kentucky fan I am glad Orton left.

It goes to show you how much name recognition plays in the draft. I personally think that Hassan Whiteside, who went to Marshall is better than Orton, who happened to have gone to Kentucky. If Whiteside went to Kentuck I assure you he wouldn’t have slipped as far as he did.

who knows, maybe he would have gotten exposed if he went back to kentucky and would not have gone in the 1st round. That gauranteed first round money is what guys are shooting for when, and he got it. And if he does in fact suck (i havent seen him enough yet) then coming out early could be the best decision he could have made.

It is still too early and I agree that Orton is probably less mature than Cousins but is that really saying much. Orton is still a very talented young big man and could develop into a Bynum or Perkins type. You can’t look too deep with big men because I am sure Mullens looked terrible last year and this year he is looking like he gets it more. With the late 20’s pick, you take a chance on a big man no matter what

That’s actually saying alot if you’re saying he’s less mature than Cousins. Cousins wasn’t exactly Mr. Sunshine last year at Kentucky and he had a lot of immature moments, even for a Freshman, whether anyone wants to agree or not.

That man is NOWHERE near Andrew Bynum. Or Perkins for that matter. He looked awful today and everyone knew he made a bad decision to leave early. Daniel Orton is the posterboy of the early-entry rule getting abused. He played no minutes last year and goes in the 1st round? Tragic.

I’m right there with you JordanC20. Cousins isn’t so much immature as he is emotional. Orton just throws fits and even left us last year in a close game when Cousins was in foul trouble. I’m happy he’s gone (More playing time for Kanter 🙂

He is the Abdul Gaddy of the C position. Aside from immaturity issues.
