ropeParticipantWhile you can make the argument that his game still could use work, what the heck is a guy like Wilkins doing in the "Developmental" league. I guess it really is evolving in a minor league for the NBA, but I guess I always thought and hoped it would be a place where young players could polish their skills.

Jco4ParticipantI guess you could also argue though that having guys with league experience around will help assist the development of those young players.

Robb_CParticipantjco that would be the nail on the head.. Wilkins an undrafted journeymen, is teaching the young guys the ropes on how to make it in the league.. NBA has these "player/mentors" on their rosters why not the d league as well where theyre needed most

CynthiaParticipantHe’d probably make a lot more money over seas. He must still think he has a shot to get back in the NBA. Good luck to him.

Anton123ParticipantHe is 34 and has played basketball professionally for over 10 years. Perhaps he’s made about enough money to live on and would rather stay in his home country than go outside of his comfort zone and play overseas.
He spent last year playing in China and Puerto Rico and maybe decided he is better off finishing his career in the US.
