UNCbasketballbumParticipantThe Mavs this year arn’t anywhere close to being the team that they were last year. They really, REALLY miss Tyson Chandler. They also miss Barea and Deshawn Stevenson. Those guys really gave the Mavs their toughness. You can really tell against the Thunder that they don’t have the mental edge or the guys to stand up and compete against a younger and more talented Thunder team. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that their title defense ends in the first round. Thunder in 5.

KayjayParticipantI believe once Dallas is down 2 games, Thunder will win one by carrying the momentum into game 3.

bedrock23ParticipantI bet Dallas wins this game.

kaceyParticipantGoing out on a limb? Thunder are the favorites to win the series.
Dallas showed in game 1 and are showing in game 2 that they are not going to be an easy out. This series will go 6 games for sure, maybe 7.
I’m a realistic Mavs’ fan and I know the Thunder are clearly the better team, but the Mavs have too many veterans on this team to just roll over. Even if the Mavs go down 0-2, I think they will bounce back and win two at home.
This series will definitely toughen the Thunder up. If my Mavs can’t repeat, then I will definitely be cheering for the Thunder. I just wish these teams could have met up in the conference finals again, instead of the first round.

FastAndFuriousParticipantThunder are my favorite to win it, but Charles said it perfect last night, that they’d better start playing a whole lot better if they want to win it all, I agree the Mavericks arent as good as they were last year, but that should cause concern for Thunder fans.
The Thunder are barely beating a team that lost valuable pieces and whose main players are a year older.
Thunder better get it together.

TomShoeParticipantMark Cuban intentionally gave up this season in order to clear cap space to look toward the future.
I think we all know what his plans are.
D-Will is going to become a free agent in the off-season, and I can guarantee that he’s not coming to Brooklyn unless the Nets can pull off some ridiculous trade that would give them Dwight. So far, Deron’s first choice is his hometown of Dallas, where he can play with Dirk and Terry. He seems like he’s going to go there unless Dwight convinces him to change his mind, but with everything Dwight has done, I doubt it.
Dwight has already said he wants out of the Magic, and they’ll be looking to trade him during the off-season. However, since Dwight is now under contract, they have more power in this situation. I’m not sure whether Dwight will still come to Dallas with D-Will, and whether Cuban would rather have Dwight now or later.
Mark Cuban is going to try and make his own big 3(gasp!) of Deron-Dwight-Dirk.

aamir543ParticipantDallas has been competitive, and it would not shock me to see them go back to OKC down 3-1 but steal one there, but I’m still taking OKC in 6, but I like the way Dallas has played, it could easily be 2-0 Dallas right now, but you have to finish off games, I know Terry got a good second look as well, but with about 3 seconds left, maybe he should’ve called a timeout, but it would’ve been hard to get the ball in, OKC must get batter shooting from KD, he’s been off the past week or so, but he’ll get it together like all great players do, but if Dirk can have another performance like this, they can sneak out a couple.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Mavericks will go back to Dallas smacking themselves in the face because they should be up 2-0 right now. They had game one right in their hands and lost it. They had game two, but Dirk Nowitzki missed a wide open three-pointer, which would’ve put the game out of reach. I also hated some of the foul calls down the stretch of this game to put Kevin Durant on the line.
I still think this series will go back to OKC tied 2-2. They won’t shoot 5-23 3PT at home. All Nowitzki needs is his reserves to play better or at least make more timely shots.
I wouldn’t count Dallas out. Let’s see what adjustments Coach Carlisle makes going home.

nick5354ParticipantThe Mavs have been good? Really pushing OKC on their homecourt. They could have easily been 2-0 but they are putting up a fight.
