JRdaFilipinoParticipantI actually like this trade for both teams. Sixer’s add to their youth movement with Hawes and get a veteran presence in Nocioni; Kings get Dalemberts large contract which expires after next season and the King’s are a team bound to attract big name free agents.. also, Dalembet will provide post defense and be a strong on the boards. Your thoughts?

JNixonParticipantYou are the 1st person to post this! How did you find out so fast??

JoeWolf1Do you guys think the 76er’s will go for Cousins now? Hawes (in my opinion) isn’t a starting center unless you have a great post defender at power forward, something Philly doesn’t have. Iggy, you’r a 76er’s fan, do you think they’ll bite on Cousins?

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantWe do get a young Center and Nocioni is said to want to go back to Europe…It could be a steal for the Sixers…If Noci says bye bye to the NBA..we don’t owe him Jack…We get Hawes for Free….not bad to see what he’s got at Center next to Speights….

JNixonParticipantCousins wouldn’t help the fact that Philly still needs defense down low, so no, I don’t think he’s going to be our pick. In fact, I think the trade makes it obvious that Cousins is now out of our draft plans. Turner is going to be the pick now no question.
I don’t think Hawes is going to be a big factor, but I do think 10 or 11 ppg with 5 or 6 rpg is what he’ll add. He’s not a very good rebounder or defender, and can struggle offensively if he is faced with a physical matchup, so he’ll be limited in getting us to be a better team.

HotSnotParticipantThis was on fantasyplayers.com/nba/ a few hours ago.
I wonder if this is a precurser to a deal with Tor. Getting out from under Noc’s deal free’s up cap space to absorb Turk. Hawes wasn’t improving all that fast and he wasn’t going to get the playing time he needed this season. Dalembert provides a true defensive center for the kings and allows their front court pieces to fit abit better.
I think this is the first domino for Philly, the Kings and if rumors prove accurate (which they almost never do) Toronto aswell. More moves ahead though. Can’t wait to see how all this unfolds.

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantTurner is at worst a cheap version of Iggy and at best the new Penny/Grant Hill Combo Guard/ Slash Point Forward…If We can trade Iggy to a team Like The Clippers for the 8th pick and D.Jordan to block shots and grow in our young lineup…The 8th Pick could get a Defensive force( Whiteside or Davis???) or a shooter like Henry or Babbit to spread the floor and fill the Void Iggy leaves on the wing…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/17/2010 - 10:11am #334140

JNixonParticipantGetting Whiteside at 8 would basically be getting Dalembert all over again…..And Ed Davis at 8 is a reach IMO. Would Henry be needed if we select Turner at 2?

the microwaveParticipantim a sixers fan.. lets just say they ant favors / cousins… why draft them???? draft turner, then cut a deal if thats the route they prefer.. if im philly i draft Turner, and continue to build… Through trade, following off season whatever…. Thats what i prefer..

the microwaveParticipanthot shot u might be right on point~~~~~~~ as far as im concerned philly can take back reggie Evans for kapono too…

The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantTurner could play the 3 and Henry the 2 or Turner play the 2 and Babit and Thad split time at the 3…D.Jordan would be a shot blocker we’d want to groom as the Starter or Birdman type off the bench…
Iggy for the 8th and D. Jordan…We also get cap relief from this move and the Dalembert/Noci and Hawes move…Noci may leave the NBA and give us some real relief…If Turner’s the 3…then Trade Iggy to the Clipps for the 8th and Jordan…

scoutguruParticipantThats probably one of the 1st trades I’ve seen scarecrow throw up there that makes a lil bit of sense (and it took a lot of trade proposals). But idk if the contracts would match so the clips would probably have to throw someone else in there or include cash maybe.
But this trade just seems to be of no relevance to the draft to me. Turner still seems to be their guy.0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/17/2010 - 10:47am #334197
The Scare Crow ReturnsParticipantThe Clipps have the Cap room to take on Iggys deal…they have a huge hole at SF and Iggy would be cheaper and more realistic than signing Gay…They were looking to draft the best SF anyway and this is a great move for both teams…Clipps get a all around point forward and the Sixers get the 8th pick drfat a shooter or Wingman like Henry,George,Aminu or Babbit and get Jordan to be a backup to Hawes and hopefully he becomes a young Camby and can be a 10 and 10 and 3 block a game guy

wesleymatthews23ParticipantWhat about the Kings? Who would they select at 5 now that they have Dalembert, whom they supposedly covet a lot. Would they draft Aminu and jeopardize the roster spot of Casspi and Greene who are both young players still learning and in their first years?? Kings fan speak out. Who do you want other then a big man or a Center. Or are you not happy with Dalembert?

mwardiaParticipantactually, i just read on espn, that now the sixers is more leaning toward favors now
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/17/2010 - 11:38am #334235
DNYCEWesley Johnson makes a lot of sense for the kings now
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/17/2010 - 11:43am #334239
DNYCEThe top picks should go like this now
Wizards-John Wall
76ers-Favors or Cousins
Nets-Favors,Cousins, or Monroe
Twolves-EvanTurner
Kings-Wesley Johnson0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/17/2010 - 11:57am #334257

esperanzafleet69Participantyou absolutely would still have to match salaries with that trade… your stupid if u think you should give your best player for cap relief and deandre jordan too…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/17/2010 - 12:33pm #334283
mj23bestever23Participantno way the nets dont take turner if philly takes either favors or cousin the russians should be invistigated lol
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/17/2010 - 12:35pm #334288
DavenSaragihParticipantWhy would we still not want monroe or cousins? Dalembert is only there for 1 year. If we can get Cousins, We get arguably the next franchise center.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/17/2010 - 12:35pm #334290
mj23bestever23Participanti like it for both teams the kings do seem to love the def and rebounindg dal brings and hawes could be ok alongside speights thats not a terrible line up in philly jrue at the one turner and 2 iggy at 3 speights at 4 and hawes at 5 why cant eb get his shut together if hed get back on track this team is legit
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/17/2010 - 12:37pm #334294

wesleymatthews23ParticipantGood point Davin. That makes the 5th pick so much clearer. Thanks.

BriguyParticipantI luv this trade for Sacramento .. Gone is Spencer constant crying and moaning …. he was great in the Princeton but Sac dropped it when Evans was drafted so Hawes didn’t fit the system anymore…
Still tink Sac should draft Cousins at 5 if he is around .. johnson is a great consolation prize … but we have plenty of guards with Evans, Udrih, Garcia, Greene.
Dalembert is only on 1 year if not resigned and cousins is someone you can groom and or take a chance with .. if he doesn’t work out …resign Dalembert…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 06/17/2010 - 1:09pm #334321

bobforteParticipantdont be suprised if they trade back two spots with detroit now, (sac that is) and still pick up monroe at the seven spot.
