     Dajuan Summers signed a two-year deal with Montepaschi Siena, an elite Itailian pro team.  Granted Summers only averaged a little over 3 ppg and played in 60+ games, but I liked him coming out of Georgetown as somewhat of a glue-guy who didn’t do one thing great but did a number of things well and was in a bad situation in Detroit.  I don’t blame him for leaving since he was a second round pick and didn’t make a huge amount of money to wait on the NBA lockout to end and have no guaranteed job when it does end.  We will most likely start to see more and more of these fringe NBA players bolt for overseas where they are more certain to have a season.  I wish him luck and hope to see him return to the league one day.

    i thought he deserved more burn from his summer league performances.

    he will do well in europe because he is skilled and big and can shoot.

    i’m jealous, would love to live in italy and play ball, good luck Dajuan

    i’m glad hes gone to be honest with you. helps lower detroit’s SF amount from 9 to 8

     I still think he can be a nice rotation player in the league. Summers has talent, i think he could be just as good as Marvin Williams, they have similar games imo. But that was just a big mess in Detroit! I think another team will pick him up fairly quickly.
