He said if theirs a lock out he would consider playing overseas. He was clearly upset when he was traded to NJ. Now even with him and maybe another free agent signing they could be a 5-8 like he was on UT. But that’s not good enough for him obviously. imo he’s gonna walk first Chance he gets. Just like he would had he stayed in UT. I think Nj made a mistake in trading for him as he is a 1 1/2yr rental. I can understand taking the chance to get a star but in the long run I think this sets them back quite a bit.

Prokhorov is trying to assemble a team there. D Will is just the first piece, or maybe the second if you count Lopez in. He will try to acquire more talent to surround those two. If he fails to do that in the next year than you should be worried.

I think the Nets have a future that is rather bright. Remember, the move to Brooklyn and opening of the Barclays Center are big attractions for anyone. You’ve got a true center locked in for the future. How many teams can say that? With Williams at the 1, they’ve got the most sought after positions in basketball locked down at the starter positions. If you can get a 4 that cleans the glass well and blocks some shots, he’ll complement Lopez’ softer game. You add in a legitimate scoring threat at the 3/2 and you have a top four team in the East, easy. Also, Howard could sign with them, and you might see the twin towers with him and Lopez. This is more likely an alternate scenario. However, the future is promising for the Nets, and they can reach the top of the East more than one way.

Theres no way he stays in new jersey. Theres about 9 or 10 teams that want him that are better than the nets. I think Dwill should try to go orlando and team up with dwight. They need to get rid of jameer nelson anyway.

the magic have to be the most unstable team in the nba, they never have the same team, and they continue to falter. As a nets fan, I hate the move to brookyln, but it will open some eyes. I dont know if they will get another superstar next to d-will, but I do know they are a team on a rise, and display everything a player wants in an organization; A owner who will spend money and wants to win, a new arena, A coach who led the mavs to the finals, an allstar pg with young pieces.

Deron Williams isn’t leaving Jersey. He could easily rebuild that team to a contender. The Nets already have 4 solid players in Williams, Morrow, James and Lopez, you bring back Humpries, that makes 5. All you need is a lucky draft pick, as well as the right free agents, and New Jersey should be alright.

It doesn’t matter what team its on. But I would really like to see Howard and Williams on the same team. That inside out combo would be almost unstoppable.
