Hard to believe Chris bosh has more all-star appearances than Paul Pierce, Carmelo and Vince Carter.

How bout Joe Johnson ahead of Parker and Gasol?

Joe Johnson has been in the east and Parker has had so much competition with all the exceptional point guards in the west.

Looking at the list my attention immediately gets drawn to the one-hit-wonders. Chris Kaman averaged 18.5ppg and 9.3rpg for the Clippers the year (2009-2010) he got chosen as a replacement for Brandon Roy. At the point he was chosen he even averaged close to 20-10, which I have to say is quiet impressive. However, given that over his career he had to decent years (2007-2008 he averaged 15 ppg and 12rpg) he should feel blessed to have made it to the All-Star game.

Ps: I was looking up on Jameer Nelson’s All-Star appearance and it seems he was forced out due to injury.

That Roy hibbert made 2 all-star games still kind of baffles me. Yea, he anchored a stout defense in Indiana but even in his prime he was a pretty one-demonsional player. Limited offensive skills, below average rebounder and awful mobility. I believe he even started one year if I’m not mistaken.

I’m disappointed that Richard Jefferson didn’t make the team in 2008 when he averaged 23, 4 and 3 on 47/36/80 shooting

The fact that anyone could mention anything about baffling all-star selections and not mention Kyle Korver is the most baffling, Dude has never been more than a shooter who tries hard on D but never really was an ace on that end. Absolutely crazy. Still messes with me.

Lots of guys on 3 All Star games who we might have thought would have got more. D-Rose’s injury issues probably cost him as many appearances again.

LBJ and D-Wade have been All Star’s all bar one of their years in the NBA, a great achievement.

East was weak and he was probally the best all around PG in the East that year. I think it was between him and Calderon, not very tough competition.
