Only active players or free agents. All players best only on their 2020-21 NBA Season (no rookies 2021 Draft- injuries included when last healthy- Klay, Murray ).

With the first pick, @canadabasketballisrising picks Kevin Durant.
Draft order (24 hours to pick, or conveyed to next pick)

it’s only based on last 2020-2021 year, and as great as LeBron has been(2nd greatest ever) – I think Durant was clearly better last year. Lebron is still one of the best- but I think Durant is better right now. Offensively, he is more dominant- it just comes easier.

Maybe for 20-21 but Lebron’s clearly the ped goat.

On a sidenote what happens when we reach 24 hours with dazzlingdookie? Do we just skip the pick and continue the draft wait until he finally responds for him to make his pick or do we just refer to some alternative ranking to autopick for him?

Sorry for slowing down the process. Didn’t realize this had kicked off already.

I gotta go with lebron here. I know last season didn’t end the best but people forget he was still playing at an mvp level pre-injury and had a lot of stuff going against him in the playoffs. With a full offseason to recover, I gotta give him the benefit of the doubt here even at his age.

Right but lets just say hypothetically Rudeboi picked Lebron and half the comments in this thread were replying to how Lebron fell to third so he’s not available. If that were the scenario who would you pick?

Rising I would also like clarification on one thing. Are we taking injury concerns or being prone to injury in this draft or just assuming everyone stays healthy no matter what? Like if a prime D Rose was in this draft would that risk come up?

everyone is heal;thy no matter what, but there is no primes, or anything- this is just based on the 2020-21 nba season, so you would be getting derrick rose on the knicks last year only.

My picks will be closer together so I’ll be waiting until it is nearly my turn then figuring out a wish list so I know I can get two from say five whatever DMO takes. First few rounds I’m going BPA unless they are clearly in positions I’ve already filled.

We are picking 96 players from over 450 available. Even if we looked at regular starters it would be under 100 from over 150 but the top bench guys are also likely to get nods especially in later rounds.

I’m just thinking of matchups. I wanna have a defender for every situation thats a two way player. I think if I get that around Doncic I’ll be good, although you never know. Might have to go BPA… I mean if Curry or KD (example) dropped to me at my next pick I’d have to scrap that plan and pick him.

I’m going with the Embeast – Joel Embiid. My next pick was going to be him or Jokic and as Jokic has gone he is my choice. I did consider Gobert but Embiid gives so much more on offence and is fairly equal on defence I have to take him.

Very happy to be able to pick KAT here. I think theres only three big men in this league that can compete with eachother and thats Embiid, Jokic and KAT. Davis might be the better player but he isn’t matching up with these guys down low. Gobert got exposed on the pick and roll in the playoffs and has no offensive game in comparison.

Depending on how the rest of this draft goes I might just have him come off the bench as my 6th man instant offense guy.

I badly need to go with a big here. Given the offensive firepower in my lineup, I really don’t need a guy who you are going to go to a lot offensively, just a guy who can score when the opportunity presents itself, and can protect the paint. I think I’ll go with deandre ayton. I really liked what I saw from him in the playoffs last year and I think he still has a decent amount of untapped upside.

So I’ll go with Pascal Siakam. He had a rough year last season playing in Tampa. Also lost 20 pounds with covid. For those that don’t know the whole Raptors coaching staff got covid and had to sit out multiple games. We had to call in one of our assistants that was overseas on leave.

To have Siakam as a 4th or 5th option brings lots a versatility. He really is one of the most versatile two way players in the league.

Is Jamal Murray still on the board? If so, give me him.

Tough pick here. Theres only a few guys I’m considering and I doubt they will be available for my next pick (8 picks from now). So I’ll just pick the guy who can guard multiple positions again which will leave me more options for my next pick in case a player playing a specific position drops to me.

Caris Levert. Feels odd picking him ahead of Westbrook to be honest. A healthy Levert is a problem though.

My team successfully hides Doncic on the defensive end which was my goal since drafting him.

    G- Luka Doncic
    G-Caris Levert
    F-Khris Middleton
    F-Pascal Siakam
    C-Kart Anthony Towns

    6th Man Donavan Mitchell

I thought he would pick him much sooner after picking him in the alltime draft.

I’ll break out of the pacific division here and go with Domantas Sabonis. I really was looking to go more defense here, but sabonis gives me a big I can run offense through in my second unit if I want a different look. He’s almost like a mini jokic with his passing ability.

I Better Grab Ja Morant B4 someone Snags him. I was thinking about selecting him earlier. But kinda had a feeling he would still be there later. And Considering all the bashing Paul George received in the bubble and Ben Simmons this year after the playoffs , I thought they would be there for my 6th pick.

Julius Randle. I had other plans with this pick but can’t pass up the talent of Randle here. 24,10 and 6 on 41% from 3.

Underrated pick. He’s clearly one of the best players in the league and Heat fans are gonna notice that immediately. Your gonna be really happy with him in Miami.

He’s a very loud player with his actions and his voice, your gonna notice and have to deal with him.. He plays with his mind. Kyle knows everything thats happening on the court. He’s seen it all and might be the biggest film junkie in the league. Right there with Lebron, Paul and other greats when it comes to studying and breaking down film and running the film room with other players. And he won’t shutup. He’s talking to his teammates, opponents, ref, both coaches, players on both benches. Fun to watch live because he makes the game a competition and not a showcase of talent.

Lowry doesn’t get enough respect but I hope in Miami people start to notice. He has the same impact CP3 has on a team where the stats don’t tell the entire story. He actually won a ring though and in the clinching game he scored the first 11 points. Miami didn’t just bring in a guy that can score and defend. He changes the franchise from to to bottom. Forces young guys to watch film with him, doesn’t care how they feel about it. Makes everyone work. Turns it into a real team and Miami is gonna be great for him because they already have the same core fundamentals. Lowry’s value wont get rejected there.

And having Jimmy Butler as your best friend certainly helps too. In terms of the pick, I was really banking on getting Lowry at some point after losing out on Holiday .

I gotta add some more 3 point shooting going with Buddy Hield.
