ilike.panochasParticipantIf you can choose any 3 players in the league to start a dynasty, who would they be?
Mine would be:
Deron Williams: I thought about CP3, but their so close that I went with the one more durable. DWill can not only give you 20 points at any given night, he also happens to be a pure PG who is willing to dish the ball just as much as scoring it himself
Lebron James: I need a face to build my franchise. Lebron is a complete Wingplayer, basically a better version of Scottie Pippen. Plays great defense and can defend PGs-PFs.
Dwight Howard: Anchors the paint defensively. I have the best wing defender (Lebron) now I have the best interior defender with Howard.

OhCanada-ParticipantDerrick Rose, Kevin Durant, Dwight Howard.
I get three young guys who are still improving. They are extremely modest and team oriented. No team in the NBAwould be able to stop the perfectly balanced attack offensively and all three players are above average defenders. Mostly though is the fact that they wont LOOK for media attention, instead they will focus on winning because that is just thier personality.

Im Your FatherParticipantOh Canada,
Obviously it’s your big three and you are free to make it however you want. But just my two cents: I think you would be better off going with a Chris Paul or a Deron Williams instead of Rose. Rose is a solid passer for sure and he is a slightly better scorer than both. But, both Paul and Williams are more of true point guards, who I believe would do a better job elevating Durant and Howard’s games.

but on a serious note CP3, Kevin Durant, and Dwight howard.. pure pg, scoring foward, and defensive center

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantWade, Lebron and Dwight.
Just imagine how the Heat would look with Dwight Howard at C and Haslem at PF instead of Anthony at C and Bosh at PF.

Awesome-O-420ParticipantWall – might be a stretch, but I’m building my franchise and I think he’s top 1-3 PG within the next 3 years, who will a pure point.
Lebron – Best SF in game, also one of the best passers regardless of position, and defenders, unselfish teams win championships, and also get someone who can take pressure shots.
Dwight – In a league without very good centers unlike the 90’s, he’s arguable the best defensive player, can dominate other teams bigs without much effort and provides solid paint scoring – another aspect needed for championship team, paint pressence. Wall and Lebron also make up for his lack of passing ability.

Kinguy11ParticipantIt’s hard but I’d go
Rajon Rondo
Kobe Bryant
Kevin Durant
Just think about it, if Rajon is passing to these two players they could both have 30ppg averages on the same team! (A bit like Miami’s Big 3 with an improved SG and PG instead of a PF).
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/27/2011 - 8:33pm #536963

Tobe BryantParticipantRajon Rondo – Give me a pesky defender, PG with tremendous passing ability and not needing to shoot to be effective during the game. Length and quickness can keep up with almost any PGs and also some SGs.
Kobe Bryant – Still the best SG in NBA. Just wait til he heals up and goes into his psychopath fitness this summer. What do you want from him? Jumpers? 3s? Slashes to the bucket? How bout I let him facilitate a little bit. Then I can leave him on your best perimeter player.
Blake Griffin – Surprised? Starting a "dynasty" right? He is the FUTURE. Pure power and athleticism. This alone allows him to battle on the block with any NBA big man. Mid-range is just where it needs to be. The real trouble starts when we start running the floor. LOOK OUT…
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/27/2011 - 8:38pm #536964

Tobe BryantParticipantIf its a DYNASTY then I must replace Bryant with Carmelo Anthony for no reasons besides AGE. Melo will be my pure scorer who I can let defend LeBron, Durant, and whomever else.

0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/27/2011 - 9:15pm #536971
nath09ParticipantRose, Griffen, Bogut
Three players who I think would gel well together. Rose arguably the best at his position, Griffin may be shortly and Bogut can hold his own and is the glue guy.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 05/27/2011 - 11:47pm #536977
ChrischiParticipantLebron, Dwight, Dirk
Great ball handler, great offensive player and great defender. You could make a case for Duncan or Garnett for Dirk, that would boost your D, might be even better, twin-tower style.
If the Thunder wouldn’t have signed Perkins, they could have gone for Howard and create a new Big3 with Durant, Westbrook and Howard. That Big3 is less talented but they complement themselves better.
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/28/2011 - 3:35am #536990
CalipariParticipantDwight Howard- top C in the NBA, physical freak, team-oriented
Kevin Durant- quiet leader, needs to bulk up but he’s still young, scoring machine, long armed decent defender, great team guy, consumnate professional
CP3- Deron is great too, but his attitude is sometimes a bit off. Paul remains the NBA’s best PG, and Durant and Howard could be scoring 30 a night each with him running the point.
Other Considerations:
Howard, Lebron, Rondo
Love, Durant, Rose (Young Guns)
0 - Posted on: Sat, 05/28/2011 - 4:06am #536997
irish78ParticipantDwight Howard up front, LBJ on the wing and Derrick Rose with the ball (I can’t believe how few picks he’s had given he’s the MVP and would have none of the injury issues that CP3 presents when you’re "building" a team).

WinterSoldierParticipantI have to go along with the mess.eee, Deron, Lebron, Dwight. The whole reason to build it is to win right away and I believe those are the three most likely to do it.

Most athletic front court to ever play anyone? CP3 would just have to oop within 3 feet of the basket to know its getting thrown down.

NYCrealdealParticipantCP3,LEBRON,HOWARD
cp3 is still the best pg in the game, i like durant more and last year i would pik him over lebron but his performance this year in the playoffs on both ends just proves to me why hes the best player, dhoward best big in the game, all three of these guys are unselfish and can take over games offensivly and defensivly.
and for a big three i see forming soon cp3/melo/amare 😉

MJBrownParticipantNot sure how you can go in any direction other than:
LeBron
Howard
Rose
They are the best and most athletic players at their respective positions. You could make an arguement that right now, they’re the 3 best players in the league. And most importnatly, they’re all relatively still young

aamir543ParticipantI am temted to bring John Stockton but i would create a different big three for past players, so I would go with Paul, Durant, and Howard. Good court vision, a willing passer, and relentless defense in Paus, Durant gives you an unbeievable scorer and a humble star (anti-Lebron) and a big in Howard, who can play D and get you points as well. For my all time big three, Stockton, Jordon, and Bill Russell, I wanted to put Wilt in, but I felt that there needed to be more of balance of scoring, so I went with the best defensive player ever, A guy who is a nore than willing passer in Stockton, and the best all around player ever (not Lebron, Scottie) MJ.
