It felt like it took forever for us to be allowed to create and share our mock drafts on this site last year.

I’d absolutely love to get this feature back as soon as possible because being able to watch the consensus mock change throughout the year as everyone changes their mock as prospects rise and fall

Honestly, every thing has been really slow to update over the last two years on here, the mocks, rankings, create a mocks etc. I’m wondering if they need more help becasue I’d totally be willing to donate to this site if so

I really don’t understand why they don’t have a donate feature. We’ve asked for something like this for years. Many of us, including myself, are willing to assist. 

I’ve been on this site for a decade, it’s the first site I go to every single morning. I just would hate to see it go. It’s nowhere near as active as it used to be, a lot of legendary posters have come & gone, but even still it’s my home.

 I agree, they do need to create a mock for the 2019 draft, and allow the users to create their own mocks, then again they were slow last year with this too. I think the reason is two-fold. One, this site has become so much more than just a draft site. Its a news site, a site to post your thoughts and ideas about updates and happenings in the NBA and sports in general. Not quite sure if that’s what the users intended all along but they certainly welcome it. Two, its only the end of July of the year before the 2019 draft. The draft is still 11 months away, give it a rest. Yes, its fun to watch the mock change, but there are other sites to go to, and so much more to do on this site besides look at the mock, and create your own. You can even create your own mock on other sites. (However, I think this site has the most user-friendly create your own mock draft function) Besides a lot can happen in 11 months. We don’t even know who most of the 2019 draft prospects are at this point, because a lot of them could still decide to return. So what’s the point in creating a mock if you don’t even know who the prospects are yet?

I also believe that putting the mock up at this point just invites for further postings about why a team would draft this player when that is not their need. The creators are tired of that response especially since we should all know at this point its a big board. They are probably also tired of other people not agreeing with the current mock, and would like to find some other way to allow for more critiqueing of the prospects, yet not give a certain definite measurement stick of whose better (big board/mock draft).

 I don’t think most people care about whether or not they update the sites own mock draft. The OP seems to be specifically addressing the ability of users to create their own mocks. I can go to a million places in the internet and find the articles listed on the front page, and I can go to a million more places and find threads discusssiing various basketball topics.

The frustrating thing for me is that this site has the best build your own mock that I’ve found, but it’s only useful for about 2 months if the year. Even early in the process when you don’t know who is in or out, it’s a fun time killer to make or tweak your own mock draft. 

I’m not sure what the coding is that this site uses that nobody else can seem to replicate, but if another site ever matched their make your own mock and made it available year round, they would steal a ton of traffic from .net

 His team needs some type of creative control. It’s very apparent that one man cannot hold it down on his own.
