The8thDeadlySinParticipantSo by now everyone knows that Rubio has signed and is playing next year if we have a season..
Also, everyone has heard the rumor that the Wolves are willing to trade Love for PGasol.
I have also heard lots of rumors that MGasol is leaving the Grizz..
So if the Wolves did a bit of a salary dump trade to get enough cap room to Sign Marc, traded for Pau, started Rubio, signed Juan Cralos Navarro, because he has played in the NBA before.
A team like this would be more than enough to make Rubio comfortable and make them a legit team when Rubio starts plaing well..
PG: Rubio
SG: Johnson
SF: Beasley
PF: PGasol
C: MGasol
6th: NavarroNot saying that will happen but it could.. Can you imagine??? Those 4 Spanish players give our USA team a run for their money every year…

BallinlikeMJ23Participantwow that idea is really outside of the box the8thdeadlysin but i like your thinking…these guys obvously play well together and know eachothers game, but i just don’t ever see this happening.

Stojakovicfor3ParticipantEven though these guys have played together alot, it doesn’t mean they would play the way they did in the FIBA tournaments. They would all have to learn the offensive system of Minnesota.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantI clearly said i didnt see it happening but it could…

kevnix5ParticipantThis would be a perfect scenario for the Wolves, I was thinking about the two Gasols and Rubio playing together in Minny. I know this is very unrealistic but bringing in one of the Gasols to make Rubio’s transition easier is a definite possibility. It is not far fetched to think Kahn could bring in Marc Gasol through free agency, the Grizzlies aren’t going to have enough money to keep him anyways.

FDAPOThis happened in 2k11 for me…. I also was able to get Monta Ellis which is also a realistic scenario.

The8thDeadlySinParticipantIt wouldnt be hard for them to get room to sign those guys.. They dont pay a single player on their whole team over 5 million dollars… That means they have some money to spend and if Kahn is serious about redeeming himself as a GM, he would try to build a contender at any cost…

BBall4life88ParticipantAs a Wolves fan I hate the sound of the Pau Gasol/Love,2 trade, but I wouldn’t mind if we got Mac too. I believe that this would actually put the Wolves in contention quicker than the other options. Pau and Mac are already established players and Rubio already has great chemistry with them. I actually don’t mind this deal….but this trade only happens in Rubio’s dreams.

esperanzafleet69Participanti refuse to believe that kahn would be stupid enough to trade love for gasol…especially to make an unproven player like ricky rubio feel comfortable.. that also would be a bad idea if they were trying to get a salary dump.. kevin love is for cheap, gasol is not..

Ghost01ParticipantPau Gasol is actually good, Kevin Love is not.

cstyle96Participantoky guys I’m going too giveu guys a thought of what can be the best thing for rubio too get comfortable with trade wesly johnson to the blazers along with the 20pick for greg oden(sign and trade) w/ rudy fernadez..
this will give rubio a player he can play with at the 2 guard spot. Instead of a unpolish johnson . And greg oden will give us a young big man . Even though he is injury prone. Things can change around for the big guy.
also if wewant wiliams or not we need a off the bench threat.

HitsterParticipantMarc Gasol to the T-Wolves is an interesting idea and Minny have the pieces to look at doing a sign and trade but Memphis of course would have to agree to it.
I’d guess I would be correct in assuming that there is no way that Marc Gasol could be traded as a Restricted FA as Gasol to T-Wolves has as much logic as say Andrew Bogut.
Wth the talk about Bynum now being on the T-Wolves radar, a fun idea might be Marc Gasol for Bynum via an S and T. I know Buss Jnr would not like it but you get the two Gasol’s together whch they would surely like and f Pau is happy then I’d guess that Kobe would be.
