     I don’t know if anybody saw the interview between the third and fourth quarter of the Spurs-Mavs game.  Craig Sager Jr. filled in for his dad who is battling leukemia.  Pop was cordial and had a really nice message for Sages telling him to get better and he promised to be nice when he returned.  Really good stuff from Pops proving he can be nice instead of a grump all the time.  I miss Sager and his colorful suits and he’s a good sideline reporter and a good guy.  Good luck to him and his battle and look foward to seeing him back on the court soon.

    Pop has shown repeatedly, whether he’s being a wiseass on those in-game interviews, DNPing his players for being old, or for just generally being awesome outside of basketball, that he is one of the coolest people and classiest acts in the NBA. You could make a legitimate argument for him being a top 3 coach of all time (I’d argue he’s ahead of PJ, personally). Also, get better soon, Sager! As much as some of those suits are ri-god-damned-diculous, the league already misses your craziness.
