jaycee24ParticipantAfter hearing Paul list his possible teams hed like to be traded to, Portland jumped out at me right away. Orlando might be the best fit but they really dont have the pieces to make the trade. So after a few minutes on the trade machine i came up with this
http://games.espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=25m5r6f
maybe throw in a pick goin to new orleans in that dealPortland gets: Chris Paul, Julian Wright
New Orleans gets: Greg Oden, Andre Miller, Nicholas Batum, future 1st rounderThis trade works for a number of reasons. New Orleans frees up the backcourt for Collinson and also gives him a veteran to learn from in miller whos contract expires in a couple of years. They also get Batum who has all star potential and would be ready to replace Peja next year. Then you get Oden who if he finally lives to his potentail, could possibly be a bargain to resign when his contract expires after this year.
For Portland, with Paul you immediately have the best backcourt in the NBA and you still maintain youth and depth neccessary for the championship run theyd expect after an acquisition like this.
Lineups for these teams would look like this
PORTLAND:
PG: Paul/Bayless/Williams
SG: Roy/Matthews
SF: Fernandez/Wright/Babbitt
PF: Aldridge/Pendergraph/Cunningham/Babbitt possibly
C: Camby/ PryzbillaNEW ORLEANS:
PG: Miller/Collinson
SG: Thornton/Posey/Batum/Songalia
SF: Peja/Batum/Posey
PF: West/Okafor/Songalia
C: Okafor/OdenI think its a fairly even trade but lemme know what you guys think. And sorry if somebody posted something like this already

jaycee24ParticipantI really dont think so. Youre giving up one of the best PGs in the league for players whos potential is really up in the air.
