finneganParticipantCousins a bust. 0/10 from the field in first half. John wall and ed davis will fight for rookie of the year honor.
I’m kings fan, I want davis. I will trade cousins plus future 1st round draft pick to get ed davis. Kings must draft davis at #5 pick or monroe.

gregoden08ParticipantI like Ed Davis a lot, and I think he’s going to be a very good player, but Cousins has all-star ability and can a dominant force at center for years to come. His skill set for someone his size is very unique.
He had a bad game…Oh well. It’s summer league. He really needs to improve his attitude though.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantYou know you’re not supposed to stand directly over the washing machine while you’re putting bleach in there, right?

stanford hoopsLol. So because of that he’s gonna be a bust. Didn’t shoot well but finished with 16-12. Yeah that screams bust

JNixonParticipant^LOL @OJJ
How can you say ED DAVIS will compete for Rookie of the Year, and then say Demarcus Cousins will be a bust? Demarcus Cousins is wayyyy better than Ed Davis. Davis probably won’t even start next year

EGbball3ParticipantHe had one bad game and now everyone is calling him a bust?! Come on now he finished with 16 and 12.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 3:06pm #355637

SmooveKRYPTParticipantyou’re a freaking idiot. Cousins has man-handled whoever opposing teams have thrown at him this summer league. You talk about 1 bad half, did you forget to watch the 2nd half where he brought the team back. Or how about last night’s game when he won it on his own down the stretch? he’s the best player in this entire draft. John Wall will probably win ROY just because of playing time.
Cousins is getting the same hate Brandon Jennings did last year, and he’ll silence his critics the same way BJ did.0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 3:09pm #355638

Mr.Knick 32ParticipantThis dude MUST be joking.

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantHa. BJ. That sounds so wrong….

GrandfiNalley101ParticipantOkay, first of all you are entitled to your opinion. Had Sacramento drafted Ed Davis he would be stuck behind Landry and J. Thompson. He is not a 5. Did u see what Cousins did with Monroe? Cousins is all-star caliber. One of the most skilled big’s in a while…. The only thing that can stop Cousins from realizing his potential is himself. Monroe is a solid passer who could have fit in but he’s not the size of Demarcus and it will take him longer to catch on. Golden State should have taken him. Ed Davis will be in the rotation and possibly start but his strength is on defense and the boards. He slid a little too far but he will be a solid guy for at least 10 years or more. He has a lot of room for improvement on the offensive end. I like him too but he is not better at all.

Stojakovicfor3ParticipantEd Davis is averaging 10.7 points 5.7 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.
DeMarcus Cousins is averaging 18.3 points 11.3 rebounds and 3 assists per game.you must be a complete dumbass to think Cousins is a bust.

Bison 49ParticipantFor the comment:
1) Dude’s joking
2) Just got finished drinking Kool Aid with Patty Mills at some remote Wyoming compound.

OhCanada-ParticipantIGGY I wouldnt go as far as saying he is wayyy better. Davis gaurded Cousins for a good portion of this game and did very well considering the huge size difference.
Davis is not a dominant scoring force and doesnt have the potential to score more than 20PPG IMO.Cousins has no cieling offensively.
Davis has great rebounding instincts but does not have the body Cousins has to get all those rebounds.
Davis had amazing shotblocking skills and maybe the best shot blocker of this draft class Cosuins still struggles with timing and foul trouble which we dont see with Davis.
Davis and Cousins are both extremely fluent although sometimes Cousins plays a little out of control and Davis seems to have bad balance and needs to hit the wieght room.
They are different players Cousins is better but it is not right to say wayyy better as if Davis is only going to average 9points 5rebounds and 1 block and as if Cousins is going to average 23 12 and 3 blocks.
Davis should be a great defensive player and possibly in alot of All Defensive Team and Defensive Player of the Year races. His mentor is Ben Wallace and he calls Ben Wallace his uncle. I see alot of Big Ben in him. He works out at UNC with big name NBA shotblockers Rasheed Wallace and Brendan Haywood, and his father is a long time, hardworking NBA vet Terry Davis.
DONT SLEEP ON DAVIS he may not be a ROY candidate but he is going to be a good player.

OhCanada-ParticipantAnyways if you look in either players eyes they have that mean aura about them like Ben Wallace, Kevin Garnett and Rasheed Wallace have. Should be 2 very good players.

boffacheeriosParticipantyou see the “mean aura” in davis’s eyes? to me he has kinda a baby face
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 3:59pm #355666

Demarcus OnealParticipantdid you get dropped as a baby
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 4:07pm #355670
Bison 49ParticipantBilly the kid had a baby face.
Davis slipped in the draft due to outstanding warrants in 48 states. Figured he’d jump the boarder.

……..He’s wayyyyy better.

ChrischiParticipantSeriously Ed Davis won’t start. The PF position is so loaded in Toronto.
0 - Posted on: Fri, 07/16/2010 - 6:36pm #355760

PureshooterParticipantI definitely wasn’t a big Cousins fan, but the guy is playing great. He is a much more skilled post player than I gave him credit for.
