Lotto StudParticipantThe after party officially begins now for us all with the 2nd half of the season. This thread is not constructed for trade ideas but for what’s been looming around, from now up until Thursday’s 3pm est deadline.
Let us know what you are hearing!

r377ParticipantAndre Miller has officially packed his bags. He is definitely not coming back to Denver.
The Wizards are looking for a backup PG. Luke Ridnour, Miller, Udrih and Pierre Jackson have all been discussed (sorry i dont’ have anything bigger or more exciting than a backup PG)
As far as I have read the Pistons will not be trading Greg Monroe. Joe Dumars still hopes to sign him in the offseason.
Luol Deng is probably going to get traded from Cleveland – they want draft picks and youth.

NYK2010ParticipantKnicks could use Deng his defense at SF would help and he doesn’t demand a ton of shots.
Too bad they don’t have a pick to trade for a while or expirings this year.
Hardaway/Deng/Melo/Chandler would be a nice four some just need a PG to win that division.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantMemphis are looking for a starting small forward that can create his own plays…They are disappointed in Tayshaun and are looking to include him and/or some draft picks in a deal…They love the energy, much needed athleticism and defensive effort James Johnson has brought to the team….The guy has blocked a league high 16 attempted 3 pointers…But he doesnt supply the offense that they feel they need….Memphis native Thad Young is at the top of their wish list..
Miami are looking for a wing scorer, but might have to wait until after the deadline to see if Ben Gordon or Caron Butler are bought out….

MrManalo43Participantif that’s the case, i hope they make a push for Evan Turner. he’s 6’7". a little on the light-weight side, but he can create better than Prince, that’s for sure. maybe for their proj. 14th overall? which if they get Turner, might drop out of the lottery to around the 17-21 range if they improve?
here’s to a sixers fan hoping *cheers*

Moon RiverParticipantAre a hot mess right now and their beat writer this morning said expect at least two players to get moved this week. Early favorites are Ridnour, Caron Butler and Ilyasova. Sanders, GA, Henson and Wolters are not going anywhere. The Bucks also like Knight (nice contract) and Middleton. They also have cap space, which helps.
Any OJ Mayo takers out there?

machu46ParticipantI’m really interested to see what they do. Also, I feel like Henson could be made available, but it would have to be for a pretty good player in return. Reports are that the Bucks do not believe Knight is the PG of the future, and that they intend to acquire somebody that they think could be by the beginning of the year next year. I’m not really sure who is available that could really be considered a potential PG of the future though.
I’ve also heard them linked to Eric Gordon and Dion Waiters, something like Butler’s expiring contract and OJ Mayo for Gordon. And I have no idea what they would give up for Dion. I would hope that it wouldn’t be much, but I also don’t think Cleveland will trade him unless they feel they’re getting something pretty good back in return.

natevalParticipantI don’t think Aldridge or Love are a REAL trade target this season for the Celtics. Next year I could see them making a move for one or the other at the deadline……If they do it would be a deal centered around Sully and picks. You need to have a young talent that teams want to get one of these guys. The only way I could see the Celtics moving Sully is for a star and I don’t think that is the direction they are headed approcing THIS deadline.

machu46ParticipantAldridge and Love are both free agents after next season though. So they don’t need to trade Sullinger for them. They could trade him for a SG or something instead.

burgessfourParticipantI haven’t seen anywhere that shows Cleveland having the Memphis pick. With that said, I would love for the Sixers to get that pick in a deal for Thad. Sixers should also get a #1 (each) either this year or next for Turner & Hawes, those picks will likely be in the 20’s but it’s better than nothing.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantI don’t want to see the team get ripped off by San Antonio or Memphis by just giving away Thad Young or Evan Turner for some mid to late first round pick, even in a "deep" draft…
If the 76ers are seriously trying to get rid of both Thad and E.T I’d like to see them at least get a proven young talent back in return, someone like Jeremy Lamb or Terrence Ross for an example…
As for all these people talking about Lamarcus Aldridge leaving Portland are crazy, I honestly see him being a Blazer for life, the team has been close to being a real contender before and has a team close to being a serious contender right now, Lilliard and L.A are a very dangerous 1/2 punch and Batum and Mattews can ball, maybe if they were to trade for Hawes and Young, something like T.Rob and CJ for Young and Hawes they’d have enough depth to challenge any contender???
If and when Kevin Love ever becomes a free agent I think he has to consider Philadelphia, I’ll lay out a few selling points for the 76ers, seems like everyone throws out L.A and Boston as for gone favorites yet never give a good reason as to why he’d commit his prime years to their teams
1.Philly has the eventually Rookie of the Year Micheal Carter Williams(already better than Rubio and a few years younger than Rondo and company)
2.They also have a guy in Nerlens Noel who could be a Defensive Player of the Year type by the time Love signs his next contract, who could also be a perfect fit next to Love at Pf/C. Who’s playing Center in L.A or Boston by the time Love’s ready to leave Minnesota???
3.The 76ers are likely to add a stud prospect in a few months, hopefully they select Jabarri Parker or Andrew Wiggins, again Boston and L.A will be grasping at straws hoping to land a Free Agent or 10, as they love to do in times like these, Kobe is a shell of his former self and he’s surrounded by D’Leagers and Steve Nash’s ghost, The Celtics are shopping Rondo because he’s an injury prone hothead who needs shooters and vets around him to be successful, Love needs defenders and athletic scorers to be successful, the two couldn’t co-exist, Kobe or Carmelo and K.Love couldn’t coexist in L.A, and I highly doubt he’d want to play with Gordon Hayward in Boston
4. Pick who you’d rather play with if you were Kevin Love, mind you this will be in 2 years…
MCW, Parker/Wiggins and Noel(Philly)
Rondo/Hayward/Sullinger(Boston)
Kobe(possibly retires) or Carmelo(L.A)

WalkaFlockaParticipantCeltics and Rockets talking Rondo…Celtics want Parsons, but Rockets want the deal to be centered around Asik, Jones, Beverley, and Motiejunas. Deal isn’t close, but talks are ongoing.
Reports also out there that the Celtics have been contacting the Jazz about Gordon Hayward. Jazz want 1sts, but Celtics a bit reluctant. Don’t know where these talks stand, if they are even true.
As a Celts fan, I’m not a fan of trading Rondo to the Rockets, even if we can get Parsons. The Hayward deal really intrigues me as the combo of Hayward and Stevens has worked quite well in the past…

HitsterParticipantThe Celtics don’t have to rush into any deals as they are going along in a nice draft position with a young roster. Danny Ainge has picks due so would only probably look at deals where he’ll get more draft options. He may look to move Kris Humphries expiring deal if he did make a move, otherwise I think it is more a case of other teams comig to the Celtics with possible deals.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantIman Shumpert might be off the trade market, or at least his value has dropped for the time being. Strained MCL last night and there is slight concern about a possible meniscus tear although not likely.
Could miss a game or two, could miss the rest of the season, depending on what the MRI says.

Tongue-Out-Like-23ParticipantI really thought Miami was going to keep Roger Mason Jr. Reports say that the 2nd round pick is so protected, it may never be conveyed. Which means Miami just unloaded salary and opened up a roster spot.
Apparently, they are looking to sign a wing player that might become available next week.
