Imo this is he best freshman class I’ve ever. The 2007 and 2008 classes were better at the top with Durant and Oden in 07 and Rose, Mayo, Beasley, and Love in 2008 but the depth in this years class is incredible.

On this site 12 of the top 13 are freshman. The only outlier is an international player. DX has 9 of the top 10 as freshman. I think they could all have an impact immediately next year as rookies as well.

Due international such as Ntilikina count as freshman, because I think he will likely go top 10. I also think Ivan Rabb and OG Anunoby (He strikes me as a Jimmy Butler/Kawhi Leonard type guy who could blow-up in the league and GM’s will look closely at that) are sophomores who could sneak into the top 10.

In saying that there is a chance that that happens.

I agree with Rabb and Anunoby they have a good chance if going late lotto. motley could also sneak in there. NBA teams will love the fact that he shows potential on the perimeter while still being able to effect the paint as a true PF. That Baylor team is tenacious and he’s the catalyst.

I doubt there won’t be some freshmen to fall by the end of the season and with the march madness a lot of players can rise their stock during the tournament. Returning prospects in the first round in mocks could easily get into the top ten (guys like Ivan Raab, Dwayne Bacon,…

That being said I agree we might see a record number of one&dones this year. Most in the lottery.

Maybe I was a fool to think things may be changing after 6 non freshman players went in the lottery last year.

Ntilikina or Hartenstein could mess that up.  Bigs will rise in a draft with no legit No. 1

I don’t see why bigs would rise if they are not talented enough. Every scout seems to agree that there are no talented true big this year in NCAA. You still have Philly probably ready to trade Okafor+ for your top 10 pick anyway, or you could get a Monroe or something.

Euro bigs like Hartenstein, Jeanne, Pasecniks will probably rise but like last year’s Zizic they probably end up mid-first round not in the top 10.

2015 draft saw Kaminsky go 9th, ahead of Turner, Winslow, Lyles and Booker …All Freshman

There is no upperclassman big with Kaminsky’s resume or even close to it. Not to mention this draft and freshman class  is viewed as better.

Bigs do rise in the draft but I don’t know if 2015 is a good example since Towns, Okafor and Porizingis, as well as Cauley-Stein were since as the top talent regardless of their position.

I actually see Robert Williams of Texas A&M, who I’ve been infactuated with since the summer, as a top 10 pick in this year’s draft. I predict him going somewhere between 5-7 right now since he’s so sound defensively with potential offensive-upside shooting wise, as well as above-average athleticism and an elite frame with crazy length for the power forward position.

At start of each season quite a few of these mock draft sites have a lot of overhyped high school kids in their mock drafts, which soon fizzle down as the season wears on.

Also, internationals seems to rise in drafts 1-2 months out from the draft…

If the mock draft holds up, then it will be the first time that the lottery will be all freshmen (or international players who would be freshmen).
