The Scare Crow RisesParticipantI’d like to see what the value of a future unprotected first rounder from a team like Philadelphia would net, In a team like Phoenix’s case they could trade one of those Top 20 Picks to a team like the 76ers if the kickback is a possible Top 10 pick in 2016.
Would anybody be opposed to dealing an unprotected 1st rounder in 2016 for the 14th or 17th pick in this draft?
The 76ers could be better than most people expect by than and if they can walk away with 3 Top 17 picks in this draft It could be beneficial.

burgessfourParticipantPhilly can trade an unprotected first round pick in 2016 – they owe Orlando a (protected) pick through 2018 in the Bynum deal.

The Scare Crow RisesParticipantThe NBA shouldn’t allow a deal like that to continually screw the other team over, Orlando has absolutely made out like Bandits in that Howard trade, they still have Aaron Affalo as an asset, and they stole Harkless and Vucevic from us too.
If I’m not mistaken the Lakers threw the Magic the protected pick in 2016. Please post a link if I’m wrong.

burgessfourParticipantBasketball insiders.com – the Sixers also owe Miami (since traded to Boston) a first round pick for moultrie. if that pick isn’t conveyed by 2015 boston gets 2 second rounders. The pick owed to Orlando likely won’t be due until 2016. I think part of why Hinkie was interested in getting so many second rounders in 2014 was to help offset the picks they’ll owe boston (I think in 2015 & 2016). So, I think a couple of the 2014 second rounders will be traded for future 2’s. THe pick they owe Orlando has protection attached to it but since we’re both hoping the sixers will be good again at some point they’ll probably lose their first to Orlando in 2016-2018.
