ThaMatrixParticipantWhich NBA player has the best signature move?
First guys that came to mind for me were Rajon Rondo with his ball fake
or Jamal Crawford with his Shake-And-Bake.
Who else can you think of?

FreeAndEasy33ParticipantHakeems move was called the dream shake and it was ridiculous

bobbybParticipantThe best signature move from a video game is Tom Chambers double pump from 3 pt land. In reality he did that move on mark jackson which he got posterized

Adi JosephThe Dream Shake wins by hair over Tim Hardaway’s killer crossover.
Though I have to say, the killer crossover was even more impressive because he so rarely even bothered to use his counter move. You knew it was coming, and he ALWAYS blew past you anyway.
But the Dream Shake itself was a counter to a sky hook, which makes it even more impressive. It was impossible to guard and also very difficult to do. Only players I’ve seen use it semi-regularly are Sam Cassell, who learned it from Hakeem, Kobe Bryant, who also learned it from Hakeem and Lamar Odom, who is way more talented than he ever bothers showing.
The Rondo ball fake is essentially a driving version of the Dream Shake, except it’s a fake pass instead of a fake shot.

DanEboyParticipantTim Hardaway’s UTEP 2 step hands down. Do you guys know that Timmy shot a knuckleball shot? His shot had no rotation on it. He learned to shoot that way because of the Chicago wind, he had to adjust to it.
Also, MJ’s fadeaway…c’mon

the I in winParticipantJayhawks2011, D Wade’s move is called a euro step, manu actually brought it to the league but wade straight stole it from him. not sure why it is refered to as a euro step when manu is from south america but whatever.
I think the best current signature move is jamal crawford but the dream shake is the best ever. Hakeem got everyone with it and made the best defenders (david robinson) look like morons.

Champzilla21ParticipantI like Kg fall away jumper because it really is impossible to stop, hes been doing it forever and no1s really made him have to force it up, I also like Devin Harris backwards between the legs stop on the dime jump shot, he comes at you so fast and he hits u with that its impossible for the defender to stay up on him

OrangeJuiceJonesParticipantI know it’s not really a signature move, but I love Deron Willams’ double crossover. You can see it a few times here:
By the way, please support Devin Harris and the Nets by watching them tonight as they play the Wizards and go for an unprecedented two-game winning streak.

quinceyhodgesLazarusMunoz damn i was hoping i would beat every one to the punch with the tim hardaway utep step..lol..i used to try to learn that everyday when i was little. doing it slow was easy but when i would try to do it fast the ball would go right out of bounds

UKWildcat_11ParticipantWhat exactly is the Dream Shake?
0 - Posted on: Sun, 02/28/2010 - 11:02am #261336

M-DYMESParticipantI’ve always loved Iverson’s game but seriously the reason his crossover, particularly v. Jordan, is and was so effective is because he carries that shit like none other. Just watch that clip of him v. Jordan. Simple crossovers until that carry and then Jordan gets shook a bit.

YurpleHazEParticipantone of my favirotes is KG’s fade away where he fakes left to right multiple times….i dont know if anyone has used this in a game but it works to perfection if you do it right because it freezes the defender which makes the shot alot easier.
there this other move tmac and arenas use alot where he squares up on the defender dribbles once of twice then fakes like he’s about to dribble again but pulls up for a jumper….i have no clue what its called but i love it.
wade also has another one where he drives then pulls back, dribbles the ball between his legs….its a pretty popular move but wade does it to perfection

kaceyParticipantAwesome move. Seemed like Hakeem could score at will with this.
As far as the Rajon Rondo ball fake. I think that highlight youtube clip showed the only four times he has ever converted the shot after making that move.
