Johnny KilroyParticipantCuse game has been a good one- 73-70 Hoyas winning, with 4:22 left in the game.
Anyway Syracuse plays there way out of a 1 seed if they lose? Not saying it’s going to happen, but I could see (dook, uk, ohio st, kansas) ifthose teams won their conference tournament.
Kansas winning 47-37- should win this game by double digits.

DanEboyParticipantChris Wright is balling today. If Ohio St wins the conf tourney, I think they will get a number 1 seed as well. I have a feeling Duke will lose in the tourney and Syracuse is down 7 with under 3min to go.

LawDeeZeeParticipantScoop Jardine’s decision making at the end of the game was BRUTAL!

Johnny KilroyParticipantScoop Jardine with 2 questionable drives in the last minute-
Hope Onuaku is okay and that it’s nothing serious with his right knee.

LawDeeZeeParticipantyea, i think syracuse’s number 1 status might depend more on onuaku’s injury rather then the loss vs. g-town
hope it’s not serious

Johnny KilroyParticipantKansas winning 65-61 with 6:00 minutes left- Kansas was favored by 17.5 points, didn’t think they would struggle with Texas Tech.

JoeWolf1Texas Tech is playing great defense and playing tough basketball, I wouldnt say they have struggled, but they they got a little too confortable with the 10 point lead they had most of the half and Tech is a gritty team, I think Aldrich has about 18 rebounds and I think KU is going to go on a serious run

knicksfan7ParticipantDidn’t see the game, but I don’t think this loss says that Syracuse is overrated or anything. Georgetown just shot the lights out, 57.9% from the field. Also, it was good to see Wes Johnson play very well. Syracuse shot well, G’town just shot better nothing against Syracuse. The only concern I have for Syracuse is if they run into a team with very good 3 point shooters it doesn’t benefit the 2-3 zone they play in, but I still see them as a final four/national champion contender.

LawDeeZeeParticipantThey still can be a contender … if they fix their defense and onuaku is healthy … g’town’s shooting almost 60% wasn’t cause they were draining one contested jumper after another! they broke the zone down and got easy buckets … and syracuse turned it over way too much … the zone didn’t look good vs. louisville either, they’ve got to get back to playing the kind of d they were earlier in the year and then of course they can still be a contender

knicksfan7ParticipantLawDeeZee, both Georgetown and Louisville are good teams, very good by some. They are both capable of making the sweet 16 in the big dance. Though, I think Boeheim should adjust the D if they play a really good outside shooting team. Otherwise, I am not too worried about Syracuse besides depth especially if Onauku misses time. I don’t think many teams will be able to shoot the way Georgetown did against Syracuse today, and Syracuse shot great so I stand by my statement. Syracuse is fine, I don’t think it makes them overrated or anything just vulnerable, but everyone is vulnerable now.

japhonzaParticipantthe zone defense is for a team that dont have shooter, but in order for your 2-3 zone to work you need a work horse in the paint. i dont see the orangemen going far. i think duke can beat them and I HATE DUKE WITH A PASSION. i think a team that play the zone defense is soft. i dont like the zone at all because you are really not playing defense. zone is for football. how can gtown beat the orangeman and why they was hitting the orangemen with back door cut and everything and if you cant make a cut in bball or have a player than can make a cut you are a sorry bball team. lville expose them bums

JNixonParticipantWow, Syracuse is ending the regular season on a sour note. Maybe they’re resting because they think they’ve got a number 1 seed pinned down. Good win for Georgetown, who also didn’t have the best conference stretch at the end.
Kansas was just too talented for Texas Tech. TT has good players like Roberson and Singletary who will keep them competitive, but Kansas had too much talent and depth not to win by at least 10.

LawDeeZeeParticipantI’m not saying they’re overrated … I’m a syracuse fan … I’m just saying you can’t allow teams to shoot those kinds of percentages and expect to win games … granted, georgetown is a good team … but they’re going to have to beat good teams to make a final 4 run or win the national title —– earlier in the season they thrived forcing turnover’s and scoring in transition, today they were the team who turned it over … i’m not writing them off, but they certainly have something to address before next weekend
