Untouchable JParticipantMost the guys listed have at least 1 all star appearance and all i believe are/were starters. As with most comparsions, these are way too generous imo

dmo21ParticipantPeople have to realize that the comparisons are mostly for playing style and not to what they will amount too.
For example, doesn’t Lucas Noguera have the same playing style as Andre Drummond as they are both tall, lanky guys who catch lobs and block shots. One is a lot better at it than the other, but they do have they same playing styles.

TRC1991ParticipantThe difference is, Nogueira weighs 210 lbs and Drummond’s 280

OhCanada-ParticipantLucas plays nothing like Drummond. He is more like Noah. Great passer, struggles with footspeed and explosive ability, long defender and bothersome, slow release weird mechanics but decent results on jumper when left open.

Untouchable JParticipantPoint is, there’s been hundreds of guys to play pro ball in your/our lifetime. If every player you can think to compare a guy to is a big name, im gonna question your acumen. IJS

dmo21ParticipantI get what you mean, but the players they are compared to have to be somewhat relevant to get the point across. If you’re comparing him to some bench player from the 50’s, nobody is really going to pick up on that.

OhCanada-ParticipantNot every player on this list will be an all-star but if you are in charge of developing any of these players you have to ask yourself, who am I gonna develop this player into. If go into the development process trying to turn Papagiannis into Rasho Nesterovic instead of Marc Gasol you are not doing your job.

OhCanada-ParticipantPascal Siakams comparison should be Jordan Mickey. Essentially the same measurements athletic ability and stats. Jumpshot is progressing at a similar rate and he should surprise in his rookie year and dominate the D-League while he is there like Mickey did.

BiggysmallsParticipantSo many of these comps are tained by the "X player meets Y player"
I get that not all comps are perfect, but that’s the fun part about the comparison discussion to begin with. Combining players just makes it all confusing.
I actually think your first like handful of comps are solid without the x meets y combos
Simmons plays like Greek Freak. He’s just a little less freaky in terms of physical stature.
Ingram to Sean Elliot is a solid comp all around. Don’t see the need for Rashard Lewis on that one.
Bender to Van Horn isn’t bad. Think adding Splitter makes it weird.
Think Jaylen Brown to RJefferson is actually decent too. There’s projection for sure but I can see what you see.
Don’t agree on the Dunn to Baron Davis one. Davis took like 7 3-pointers a game in his prime. Don’t think Dunn is going to be that kind of gunner from the outside. Think Reggie Jackson would be a fair comp for him.
Cool it on the doubling up on comps and I like this list a lot more. There’s just too much of the multiple players for me. I’m perfectly okay recognizing that no comparison is perfect. That’s what makes the discussion enjoyable.
