knicksfan7ParticipantNow an official Triple Double.

DanEboyParticipantCould be a quad-double by the time it is over…6 turnovers, ouch.
0- Posted on: Fri, 02/19/2010 - 5:08pm #258411
knicksfan7ParticipantThis may sound stupid, but if he were to get double digit turnovers that wouldn’t count as a trip-double, would it??

MagikKnickParticipantTalk about a steal….this kid has been absolutely ballin in CP3s absence…
Everyone was talking about the top PGs in this draft class, and you heard Evans, Jennings, Curry, Lawson, Teague, Maynor, but you rarely heard Collision….but hes definetly making an impact…
Im wondering if this is Chris Pauls teachings, or would he have been this good, this fast either way..

MagikKnickParticipantYeah, turnovers DO count….but i dont think he’d want that quad double…lol

knicksfan7ParticipantNo he would not.

llperezi brought him up a week ago. He is killing since paul went out. In games where collison get’s at least 25 minutes, he’s getting about 18 points and 9 assists as well as 4 rebounds and tight defense. A lot of teams could use him right now. And it’s not a fluke either, he is keeping new orleans compeitive and winning games and in th eplayoff hunt, so don’t just say it’s because paul is out as though any rookie pg could come in and do what DC is doing.

JNixonParticipantI doubted him after I saw him get killed vs. Derrick Rose in the Final 4 his Junior Year. But I realized, Rose is an NBA All-Star and a top 5 physical specimen so it’s OK if he struggled against him in college. But he’s been good in the NBA, I think he’s more of a backup PG, but he’s going/is to be an elite backup. I like his future.

knicksfan7ParticipantAs a Knicks fan I would take him right now.

M-DYMESParticipantBe interesting to see if NO would look to see what they could get for CP3. His contract is huge so it would clear up a lot of space. I’m against shipping him off since I feel hes arguably the top PG in the league and a fan favorite (marketing), but would be too surprised if they looked at some offers given the financial state of the franchise.

MagikKnickParticipantI wonder if they’ll ever trade him….hes too good to get 12minutes a night behind CP3 on a regular basis, and right now hes building up some serious value…..hmmmmmm
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/19/2010 - 5:22pm #258433

DanEboyParticipantThey should and will trade him eventually. Paul is their PG for the next decade barring a catastrophie. Teams will want Collison. The Hornets have a real nice bargaining chip in Collison for the future.

knicksfan7ParticipantAgreed, and they have some contracts they would love to get rid of. Okafor, Peja, MoP to a name a few.

llperezyeah, i just don’t see DC and paul playing well on the court together. And while i had DC pegged as a career backup coming out of college, i think right now he is showing that he should be a starter in this league, no question. I think the hornets have a major trading piece on their hands.

knicksfan7ParticipantI think the Knicks should consider David West (2 years left, 1 being a player option for 7.2mil) if Chris Bosh fails and use it as a sign and trade with David Lee.
Hornets Get
David Lee
With some1 else
Knicks Get
David West
Darren CollisonKnicks get a David Lee replacement for the short term and a good PG.

DanEboyParticipantBy the way, turnovers don’t count for triple-doubles. It is a negative stat.

IndianaBasketballParticipantHe’s a starting caliber point guard in my opinion… No question about it. He’s that good.

Meditated StatesParticipantBut has to be traded to improve that team. He is someones starting point in this league. Said it b4 the draft and saying it now
