TC_42ParticipantAt the beginning of the summer, I would laugh when Jazz fans posted on here about much they didn’t want Utah to take Aldrich. I thought it was funny because I thought the Jazz would actually take him and he would be a bust. When my Thunder traded for him on draft night, I about pooped my pantaloons. I was not feeling it at all.
Lo and behold, he hasn’t done a thing this season. I know it’s early, but he could barely get on the court with both Green and Collison injured. Tonight against the Rockets, he’s inactive. DJ White has been getting minutes over him.
Don’t the Thunder need to send him to the D League? Is there any hope that he doesn’t become another Thunder/Sonics lottery center bust (Sene, Petro, Swift, Mullens)? I don’t think he’ll ever fill that hole at center the Thunder were expecting him to do.

B FreeParticipantMy question is why is he not getting minutes? He is a decent defender with long arms and a solid rebounder. You guys didn’t need him for his offense.

sheltwon3ParticipantI think until he plays, you can’t really judge. Also with expectation high in OKC they may not be able to afford rookie on the job training right now. Also Nenad Kristic can ball and I think he comes off the bench most games so OKC has players that are vets that will get the minutes. OKC is deep and don’t need to play their young players just yet.

BothTeamsPlayedHardParticipantCole Aldrich was drafted to a team that won 50 games and brought back ten guys. Coaches that think their teams have any sort of chance tend not to play rookies if there are other options, especially early on.
