Forget the CP3 and D. Howard to the clips article.that is not realistic.

But assuming both the clips and wolves are lottery bound as usual, and clips get the minny pick(which could be #1), they could very likely end up with those 2 guys.

    C-Drummond (aka next D. Howard)

    PF-Griffin (aka next Amare)

    SF-Barnes (aka next Durant)

    SG-Gordon (aka next Joe Dumars)

    PG-Bledsoe (aka next Kevin Johnson)

Um, I would say Drummond or Barnes, and that is granted that the T Wolves win the lotto. Plus probably their own mid to late lotto. I could see them getting Drummond and Terrence Jones, or Barnes and maybe Sullinger, if they have another top 6 or 7 pick. It reamains to be seen. But I don’t think the Clips will be a bottom feeder, barring injuries. The T Wolves will probably be a botttom 3 team, unless all that raw talent meshes.

This is the clippers we are talking about.Rest assured they will find a way to be a bottom feeder, either through underachieving or a griffin season ending torn acl

See the draft notes for 2012. Celtics get the lower of the Clippers 2012 picks, either CLippers or TWolves pick. But either way, it’s a big deal that they get TWolves pick, which should easily be a top 5 pick. However, I think Itll be packaged in a deal to bring in another superstar to LA.

If the clips can get a Battier or Prince at SF then they will be no worse than 12 to 14 in draft order…barring injury i think they can make some noise this year(assuming theres a season)

What do you guys think of Aminu? Not only did he show potential, but I think he shows he’s good enough to start now. Can stretch the defense and shoot the 3, and plays good defense, while runs the floor well alongside Griffin. I think Igoudala is a great fit, but Sterling is not going to want that contract. I think Aminu can reach his full potential by starting and playing a lot of minutes. Battier would be a great fit, may Prince even more because he can mentor Aminu, who I see AMinu as a more athletic Prince.

I believe the pick the Celtics are getting from the Clips is top 10 protected, so if Griffin does turn out like almost every good Clips player ever, and get injured, the Clips could get two top ten picks, conceivably.

Takes more than the body to be the next Dwight Howard. He could be the next Deandre Jordan

Ouch! The next Jordan, DeAndre. Look out NBA, he’s on fire, rebounding. Good call, the latest video of Drummond shows regression, not improvement in his game.

Man…. Marko Jaric for Sam Cassell AND possibly somebody like Harrison Barnes.

it’s painful existence being a wolves fan lol. The only icing on the cake might be Shabazz Muhammad in 2013.

Are you trying to jinx Griffin, saying he is going to tear an ACL. And don’t joke around about those kind of things, because It is really sad to see anyone go down with any injury, expecially one like that. I sprained my ankle twice in the span of a month, the first time I was out 2 or 3 weeks, the second was a lot quicker, I’d say about a week, but it was really painful and strenuous. In fact the second time I hid it from my parents because I had a tryout in a week, and plus my grandma would not have let me leave my bed. It was extremely painful walking like that, and I was fortunate that it healed that quickly, but I remember sitting in front of the TV for 2 hours straight watching the Butler Uconn, game, and when I did get up, I had to make it seem normal.

So my point is, don’t even talk jokingly about that stuff because that is a very serious issue.

I’m coming off of a torn ACL and having surgery, and it’s no joke…

The swelling, pain, icing/elevating 24/7 (can’t lay on your stomach or side), a big brace, not being able to take a shower for weeks, not being able to walk, using crutches, needing help to get your leg off of the bed, weak quad muscle, etc. And then even once the brace is off (which is a big deal and huge milestone), you’re knee is weak, stiff and you can’t bend it. The physical therapy is hard, especially if you have scar tissue.

I had surgery March 29th and my knee still doesn’t look 100% normal yet and it still hurts… Quad is still a little weak. I still can’t cut or plant and haven’t been cleared by my surgeon to start running yet. They say it takes two full years to completely heal.

I feel for anyone who tears their ACL.

To be honest, its not completely out of the question, except he lost my respect when he started saying the Clips will not be good this season because something bad will happen to Blake. You can never predict an injury. Yao has been injury prone dating back to his teenage days, and he played almost every game in his first 3 years. Then it started to show.

And another thing, other than my Warriors getting one of the two, I would love for those two to go to the Clips. That would be a very exciting team, but they would need a lot of luck, because quite honestly, they have an outside shot at the playoffs. If Kaman plays like his All Star self, same with Mo and Blake, plus Gordon gives them 25 a game, and Aminu turns into the valuable starter we all know he could be, you never know…………….

I’ve been watching past NBA drafts (just watched Sam Bowie drafted and say Portland put him through a seven hour physical and he’s 100%. Yea… Poor guy didn’t know what was ahead of him) on NBATV and the Clips are in the lottery every year.

I kept hearing over and over again, “This team has a good group of young talent” and “Watch out for them”.

I’m a Clippers supporter and am excited for the team’s future, but this seems to be nothing new. They’ve always had picks, etc but always seem to mess it up.

Most of what the OP was said was ridiculous. But I think LAC’s first target (with the Wolves pick) should be Barnes, a polished SF prospect who could fit right in. Otherwise, there are plenty of high-upside SF options available.

The second pick should be a PG. I’m not convinced about whether Bledsoe will ever grow into an NBA point…and drafting another PG will either push him to improve or will crown the other guy in the process. A guy like Kabongo would be perfect – as they’d have plenty of scoring options already in Griffin/Gordon/Barnes. If not, I’d pick Kendall Marshall, if his stock stays in the mid/late 1st zone…because I don’t think a scoring point would really help LAC in the long-term.

Trade the picks, time for a proven young vet such as Iggy or a Granger type. Too much youth can be bad at times.
