OldSkoolBasketballParticipantWith all the moves their making, it seems like they are shedding a lot of salary. Anyone think they are going after one of the big names during the off season?

DanEboyParticipantI am sure that the Clippers think that they are going to get LeBron. Who really knows where anyone is going to end up? LeBron probably doesn’t know where he will play next year yet.

IndianaBasketballParticipantOf course they’re going after LeBron lol. What team with max deal cap money isn’t?

powerguard97Participantthat would be interesting!!!! the MVPs in the same house…….or the same Staples Center.

butidonthavemoneyKeep dreaming Clippers fans.
LeBron is staying in Cleveland.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/17/2010 - 6:43pm #257463

IndianaBasketballParticipantIF that’s the case, he would’ve signed an extension already.

M-DYMESParticipantI don’t see LBJ as a clipper. Going to the Clips is like committing career suicide. Financially and logically it works (would be sick to have Kobe and LBJ in LA) but too much of a risk. Its like going to the Raiders in the NFL.

NYK2010ParticipantWait till playoffs over to start talking about it than.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/17/2010 - 8:14pm #257508
kurtu17Participanti dont think they will get lebron…but could get another superstar cuz from wat i hear the owner of the clips is plannin to spend this summer…sayin stuff like you “only get to live once” or somethin like that…
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/17/2010 - 8:26pm #257509
LazarusMunozParticipantwe lost 9 out of out last 10…no interior defense what so ever…Horford shredded us tonight…a point guard whos going down hill!…All the clippers will end up with is alot of extra money and the lost hope of missing out on these free agents
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/17/2010 - 8:30pm #257511

IndianaBasketballParticipantWhat did you think about Blake’s performance today?
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/17/2010 - 8:51pm #257529
LazarusMunozParticipanthe actually looked for open guys, the ball seemed to be moving pretty well in the first quarter…he’s a really smart point guard! luved that lob he threw to DeAndre on the fast break…He knows where to set up guys…He didnt really look like a new guy out there…looks like he’s been playing with these guys for awhile!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/17/2010 - 8:54pm #257531

IndianaBasketballParticipantI feel the same. He played hard and most importantly, he MOVED the ball. He didn’t overdribble or take bad 3-pointers like BD does. I think that’s what the Clippers need. The lob to DJ was nice.

LazarusMunozParticipantand on the post game show were saying how this was a great day for the clippers completely forgoting that were the fourth worst team in the west(Sac is closing in on us),on a huge losing streak, how are supposed best players have been horrible!
These big time free agents are gonna find better situations than us and the best we might do is someone like Rudy Gay…nothing against him,he’s a really good player, but he wouldnt solve our problems…
And also they go on about how they think its a given that Marcus Camby is gonna re sign with us during the summer…Nothing is a given in this league and the Clippers could end up looking really bad!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/17/2010 - 9:00pm #257540
LazarusMunozParticipanti know Steve Blake isnt the long term answer, but he’s exactly the kinda point guard we need! Baron has been awful as of late even turning the ball over more than usual!
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/17/2010 - 9:06pm #257546

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Clippers could end up looking bad, but this is a great day in regards to having the money to spend in arguably the greatest free-agent class in NBA history!
Who knows if or who they’ll land, BUT… They’ll have a chance. The Clippers are absolutely loaded with cash headed into the offseason and will be able to offer a superstar player a $100 million contract over 5 yrs. Money talks.

LazarusMunozParticipantgood young talent that fits with whoever decides to coach this team…I dont want Dunleavy signing a big name just for the sake of signing a big name(Baron Davis)…The guy or guys have to mesh with whoever’s there next year
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/17/2010 - 9:12pm #257552

Mr. BasketballParticipantbcuz u can resign ur players and go over cap to do so (which sterling said he would do), imagine…
pg: baron, blake, brown
sg: gordon, ?, ?
sf: joe johnson, outlaw, novak
pf: griffin, monroe
c: kaman, cambygreat second unit to say the least. imagine the ball movement with camby, monroe, and blake.
0 - Posted on: Wed, 02/17/2010 - 9:12pm #257551

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Clippers have a lot going for themselves…
1. A ton of cash
2. An upcoming lottery pick (Nothing new lol)
3. A solid core in Eric Gordon, Blake Griffin, Baron Davis (yes, we hate him sometimes) and Chris Kaman (we hate him too sometimes lol).
4. Great locationI think they have a legit shot at a superstar or all-star caliber free-agent. Even Rudy Gay would be a huge acquisition. Blake Griffin, Eric Gordon and Rudy Gay on the break sounds great to me!

armanlebron isnt going there… he is staying with cavs…. and IF( thats BIG IF) he become FA he wouldnt come to clips.. he want a title …. miami is the place for him cause we saw him and wade in lineup…
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 2:21pm #257969

Mr. BasketballParticipantnot sure he would want to join a miami team that dwade’s team. he wants to be the man on a team winning titles like jordan and now kobe. im not saying he’ll go the clippers, but i think there is a better shot at him going to NY with bosh then going to dwade’s heat.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 2:45pm #257977
quinceyhodgesi doubt if he goeds to miami but he already said he knows it could work with him and wade. i really doubt he goes to the clippers. and just because he didnt resign doesnt mean hes not gonna stay in cleveland
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 5:53pm #258072

IndianaBasketballParticipantHim deciding not to sign the extension and kill all talk about free-agency early sure in the hell doesn’t mean he’s staying with Cleveland either
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 5:56pm #258076
quinceyhodgesit sure doesnt. thats why no one can say either way. many players dont sign extensions and then resign after playing the market not signing doesnt mean he wont or he will
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 5:58pm #258079

IndianaBasketballParticipantPlaying the market… Cleveland can give him millions more than any other team… He’s not just playing the market. The man is serious about potentially leaving.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 5:59pm #258080
quinceyhodgeshe could leave he could stay. not signing doesnt mean hes leaning toward any direction
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 5:59pm #258082
quinceyhodgesany its obvious he loves leading people on and keeping people in suspense. all the antics he has done and hints here and there with hats and other things
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 6:05pm #258091

IndianaBasketballParticipantIF LeBron was serious about staying with Cleveland, he would’ve signed the extension and killed all of that free-agency talk earlier. He may not be leaning in either direction, but he’s serious about the possibility of playing for another team next season.
My point is, is that saying you doubt he goes to here or there doesn’t really make any sense, unless you know him and he’s let you in on inside information. The fact that he’s opting out and he hasn’t committed to Cleveland says to me that other teams will have a shot.
0 - Posted on: Thu, 02/18/2010 - 6:11pm #258096
quinceyhodgesactually it makes alot of sense because i said I doubt. which means its my opinion. i dont have to know him in order to think hes not going anywhere. no one every disputed that he might leave or that other teams dont have a shot.. all i said is just because he didnt sign doesnt mean he wont resign. dont look to deep into that statement
0 - Posted on: Fri, 02/19/2010 - 6:56am #258187
armani think that he just wants to win title, and if cavs dont go all the way this year i think that he and wade will think about joining forces together if not in miaimi,i think that they can both opt out of contracts and go in some new team with lot of cap space
