inukawaii8ParticipantI know some people will be like Clippers is cursed or whatever, and dont even bothered. But what if Clippers get the #1 pick again, what should they do?
Now that they have two building blocks in Griffin and Gordon, and few youngsters in Bledsoe, Aminu, Jordan, and even Warren, who has played well when given time.
Do they try to get rid off Kamen or Davis? Would anyone want them? *note that if they do somehow get rid of the contract of Davis and Kamen, they would once again have the cap room in 2011 to sign one max out FA. would anyone want to go to clippers?

B FreeParticipantI think that they would need to go Kyrie Irving because he looks like the best point gaurd available but wouldn’t need to be the number one option on a team like a Wall or Rose, he is a good facilitator and a true pg. His comparisons are to CP3 and if those are close he is going to be a great player.
I don’t know if they would want to sign a max player because it could ruin chemistry between the guys that have been there and developement of the young players. I think their core is pretty strong and will get better in the next year.

TC_42ParticipantI think they would have to pick Jones or Irving. I only think Bledsoe and Aminu will be really good backups, so you’ve gotta take either Jones or Irving if you have that chance. If they don’t get the top pick, I think their best option is Kanter.
Even though they’re the Clippers, who wouldn’t want to play with Griffin, Gordon, and Jones / Irving? But it would be wise to not waste cap space so they can resign Griffin and Gordon.

ItsVictorOladipoParticipantIf they were in a position to get Irving I think they’d have to pull the trigger. A true floor leader who will make Gordon and Griffin better as well as an upgrade defensively. As far as spending money in FA, I think their best bet would be to pick up some nice role players at decent value instead of grabbing a high profile player with a massive contract. Luc Mbah a Moute would be a nice fit and would really help them out on the defensive end.

Counting StarsParticipantIf they were going to replace Davis or Kaman, I’d think they’d get rid of Davis. Kaman is 28, which means he should be hitting his prime. Davis is 31 and a lot of guards start to fall off after that age, plus he’s had issues staying healthy.
Bledsoe has played well, but you can never have enough guys to run the offense so Irving seems like a logical pick.

IndianaBasketballParticipantThe Clippers need to get rid of both Kaman and Davis. It’ll be easier to move Kaman, since he’s a solid big man (overrated though). Davis on the other hand, will be easier said than done.
Donald Sterling is cheap and it’s clear the Clippers aren’t going to come close to making the playoffs this season, so I wouldn’t be surprised to see Kaman moved for salary cap relief.
IF the Clippers get the top pick, it’d come down between Irving and Barnes. Bledsoe and Aminu have played better than expected, but Irving and Barnes would be significant upgrades.
Keep in mind, the Clippers also have the rights to a top pick from the Timberwolves. This team’s future looks bright, but this has been said before in the past and they always find a way to screw it up.
