yashParticipantIf there’s mutual interest on Washington’s part to draft Kanter, should Cleveland offer up #4 for #6 and say..Nick Young? Or maybe make Washington take back Baron Davis’ contract if they want that pick real bad.
Things to keep in mind:
-Jordan Crawford was great after the trade to Washington
-From what came out when the season ended, Young’s going to weigh his options and money may be a big factor? He has a great knack for scoring and would clearly be the starting 2 in Cleveland
-Cleveland’s still in a position to draft someone they like – one of the euro’s or Leonard or Thompson or ?This is assuming that Utah passes up on Kanter.
Don’t need to go ham on the negative button, but it does work out (to me).

the I in winParticipantI think that would be good for cleveland. At one take Irving and at 6 take Jonas V or Kawhi Leonard while at the same time adding your starting 2 for now and instant offence guy for the bench if they get good down the road.

ghettosermonParticipantThe Wizards will not take on Baron Davis contract just to move up 2 spots in the draft, only realm of possibility that they would do that is if the league in the new CBA has an amnesty clause and they can waive Baron, but even in that case they would just use it on Rashard and not trade for Baron who would be the most expensive backup PG by a big margin.

Tim49461ParticipantI like the idea but I think Kanter is a cant miss guy.
You have to also consider the fact they are not trying to rebuild all at once. they realize that it will take a couple years. So draft Kyrie and Kanter and next year draft someone out of the 10 possible #1 picks. Nick Young is good but not good enough to pass on Kanter

ryan27ParticipantWhere did you get the idea that Kanter is a cant miss guy? Because I know its not from watching his games the last couple of years

RUDEBOY_ParticipantCleveland is in need of young promising talent..They made the mistake of not trading Hickson a few years ago..He’s too inconsistent to be a cornerstone of the franchise and not a 1st 2nd 3rd option type of player you can depend on..Coach Byron Scott found that out and Hickson spent most of the year in Scott’s doghouse..
Cleveland offered its number 4 pick to Memphis for Gay..They thought what almost everyone was thinking that Memphis was looking to trade Rudy Gay becuz of the great run they did without him..Memphis knows they need Rudy’s offensive talent becuz defenses will constantly zone in on Randolph knowing he’s Memphis only offense..
Maybe Indiana might think Paul George is ready to take that next step and offer Granger for 1 of the Cavs picks…

BrxaParticipantHickson was in the doghouse because he wasn’t rebounding like he could, and playing with all out effort. Once he started rebounding he was out of the doghouse.

WinterSoldierParticipantI have been hearing the Jazz are really high on Kanter and Williams so I’m pretty sure they’ll take whichever one is available at 3.
