highflyer0ParticipantPeople have been talking a lot about how great Kentucky looked, and with good reason, but Early was the best player on the floor in the second half of that game. Obviously he doesn’t have as much potential as a lot of those Wildcats but I think he could be a starter in the NBA someday. I actually think he’s a bit of a rich man’s CJ Fair because I like his consistency. Those two shots where he created space with jab steps and shot over the defender were NBA level moves. I think it’s good that he’ll be picked towards the end of the first round because I really think he can help a contending team right now. In my eyes, he isn’t a tweener. He can play the 3.

Mr. HookShotParticipantI was about to make a topic about Early as well, with the question if he is actually a 3. I think he showed he is, shooting 3s and running the floor with his atleticism. Considering he is also quite effective from the post, I see him coming in and having an immediate impact in the NBA as well. Yes he is a senior, but at the end of the first round he will be steal for competing teams looking for an advanced player who can play the 3 and also the 4 as a stretch 4 (team like Houston?).

strobox88ParticipantHouston already has a stretch 4 off the bench. His name is Terrence Jones. However, OKC and San Antonio could use a guy like him. I say Early doesn’t get past San Antonio (30th pick) or some lottery teams are going to be very happy in the second round.

RUDEBOY_ParticipantI watched him play last year and saw some of their games this season..And this was the first time i actually felt he could be a nba player..He was scoring off the dribble, scoring in the post, playing with intensity throughout the entire game and showing an overall game he hadnt shown in the past..I guess coach Marshall allowed him more freedom in this game…..He could be a steal…

JoeWolf1I’ve seen Early a decent amount over the past two years, and I think he’s a very solid player who can do a bit of everything as a combo forward. I think he’d be a pretty good choice in the early 2nd round, and I think he has the capability to make a roster next season.
He has good size for a 3, but plays a little like a 4 sometimes. Still, he’s really worked on his range this season, is a good defender, who can guard NBA small forwards. You’d like him to be a bit better ball handler, but he’s definitely servicable, and has good footwork and fundamentals when it comes to creating for himself. Early is also a underhearalded athlete, not elite, but more than average. That 2nd half dunk vs Kentucky is prime example.
Kind of a jack of all trades, and I think he has the potential to sneak into the late 1st. Every year a playoff caliber team falls in love with a senior who is widely regarded as a 2nd rounder ( Nolan Smith, Miles Plumlee, Solomon Hill ) and I think Early is a guy who a playoff team could see something in and want to bring on.

jwall1ParticipantSome of the moves he made yesterday reminded me alot of melo. I think he is definitely an NBA player and arguably a lottery pick.

SpaceghostParticipantSince when did Terrence Jones of the Rockets be considered a Stretch 4..LOL u gotta be able to shoot ..to stretch right. Cleanthony Early aka Kwahi Leonard. He is a 3 and D kinda of player. Being a Senior he will come right in and help any team if given a chance.

JNixonParticipantHe was GREAT yesterday. He’s a combo forward, but he looked athletic and had some nice moves for a guy who’s supposed to be more of a 4 than a 3 right now. He does need some more polish to his perimeter game, but he made a few NBA level moves, especially the jab step 3 over Poythress.
