OhCanada-ParticipantIve always wanted to see these two play together for the longest time. Thier games compliment eachother perfectly and they have been rivals for a while. Back when the two were in Toronto and Orlando if you told me the two would be playing together I would expect that team to be instant contenders. I think if Houston retains Parsons and adds Bosh they instantly become the favourites other then whatever team Lebron is on and San Antonio. One exception would be if Chicago lands Melo, then I would think Houston would have a bit less oppurtunity then Chicago due to the differences in depth between the East and West Conferences.

DolanCareParticipantBosh would be the leader if he went to the Rockets. It was hard to see Bosh’s leadership skills on the Heat since he was playing third fiddle, but he’s actually always getting on younger players who make mistakes while giving encouragement when one makes a play.
Harden and Howard are great players, but those two have the charisma of pigeons. It will do the team wonders to have a vocal presence in the locker room as well as top notch PF.

OhCanada-ParticipantI agree and I think Bosh would not be happy with Hardens defensive effort. He might look funny doing it but he would defenitely give Harden a piece of his mind.

celtics1982ParticipantIt’s a great fit. If they keep Parsons and get Bosh, WOW. Fit wise, Bosh is better then Melo. Melo takes Parsons spot, Bosh would take Terrance Jones spot. I don’t see why Bosh would turn this down. Rockets only need to find role players going forward.

SpacegrassParticipantChris Bosh always has the look on his face like he got a whiff of a smelly fart. Who do you trust to take the last shot if Bosh goes to Houston? They will have 3 really good #2’s but no #1.

SpacegrassParticipantYou see James Harden in the playoffs? Just because you can score 25ppg doesnt make you a #1. I trust Dwight Howard more. He has at least led a team to the finals. All Harden does in the playoffs since leaving OKC is take bad shots and play bad defense once the playoffs start.

celtics1982ParticipantI’ll take three number twos any day of the week. There are only 5-10 true number ones and that might be stretching it. Boston won one and almost two titles with 3 number twos. Houston’s big three would be much younger.

SpacegrassParticipantPaul Pierce was wired to take the last shot in big games. I dont see it with any of those guys Houston would have except maybe Howard whose offensive game is limited. I agree there are only a few guys in the league you trust in crunch time.

chrispaulwallParticipantNot a big fan of Harden either, but I’ve seen him create plenty of his own shots in the clutch. You seriously think DWIGHT is better suited to take the last shot?
But on as far as #1 options/clutch playmakers or whatever – Bosh has proven to be a clutch shooter in those situations. If he does land in Houston, Harden would be smart to try to find him in space if the game was coming down to it

SpacegrassParticipantRafer Alston could create shots at will. That didn’t mean you wanted him taking them in crunch time. You have guys like James , Kobe(assuming he can still go) , Dirk , Melo , Pierce , Durant , Duncan , Parker , and even Ginobili is debatable that are what you are looking for over Harden in a late game situation at this point. I think I would rather have Damian Lillard or Stephen Curry as well. Harden is talented offensively , Howard is talented defensively , Bosh is talented offensively and solid defensively. None of those guys are 2 way players to the extent you need to win a title. Howard has at least been to the finals once as the guy with Orlando. Harden just isn’t at this point. Could he develop into that? Maybe. If Houston gets Bosh they are out by the Western Semis next year watch.

celtics1982ParticipantDon’t agree with everyone thinking Pierce was built to take last shot and I’m a die hard Celtics fan that loves Pierce. Pierce grew into that role. The making of the big three made him a much more efficient player. His fg% spiked playing along side two other good players. Also Boston really spread out last second shots, with Allen, KG and Pierce all taking their share. Harden is still young, very talented and reminds me of a young Pierce. The better players you put around him, the more efficient he’ll become. I believe Harden is good enough to be the most talented offensive player on a title winning team. I also think Bosh would become a number two option in Houston, I believe he’s a more efficient scorer then Howard is. So just like Boston, I’m not sure it matters who takes the last second shot, as long as its a quality player getting a good look!

chrispaulwallParticipantI don’t think your ability to create offense just dissappears in late game situations when you’re as talented as Harden. I’d take all those guys over him as well, but that’s because they’re proven. Like you kind of said, he hasn’t done it in the playoffs yet but that doesn’t mean he can’t eventually come through. Also, losing in the second round in the 2015 Western Conference playoffs will be no joke for a team. Obviously if Bosh comes it’ll probably be considered a dissappointment by many but I still think it’d be impressive for any team to win a first round matchup.

IndianaBasketballParticipantIt’s one thing to play 3rd fiddle to LBJ and D. Wade, but Harden and Howard? I can’t see Bosh being down with that, despite all of the rumors.
I think Bosh would be better with the Bulls or even the Suns.
