Tobe BryantParticipantSo I’m goofing off with the ESPN Trade Machine, would you do this deal?
Griz Send: (SG) OJ Mayo & (PF) Darrell Arthur
Bulls Send: (SG) Kyle Korver & (PF) Taj Gibson
The Pros/Cons for this deal from both sides:
Pros for Memphis: You get some outside shooting from Kyle Korver, along with high energy and rebounding from Taj Gibson.
Cons for Memphis: You lose your best perimeter player and scoring punch off the bench, as well as a frontcourt piece to relieve Gasol and Randolph.
Pros for Chicago: You FINALLY get another creater to pair alongside your MVP Derrick Rose. You also get a legit reserve in Arthur.
Cons for Chicago: You lose Gibson, a key contributor off your bench. Your backcourt is pretty small too by adding a SG the same size as your PG.
Overrall, I say its an equal trade, BUT only with the logjam that is created in Memphis. Arthur for Gibson is not as lopsided as you would imagine. With Rudy Gay coming back, he can get some of the offensive load that you lose with Mayo gone. Xavier Henry and Josh Selby can hopefully develope.

jonus grumbyParticipantBulls pretty much commited to trading for a SG by not addressing it in the draft. I was hoping they would draft a PF so they could send Gibson in a trade for a SG, I wish Mayo was taller (but then he would have much more value to Grizz). The Bulls can’t stand pat (imo but GarPax may disagree) and hope their team gets better just because some players improve. So yeah I would do the trade.

rose2dabullzParticipantGrizz would want Asik and not Gibson. No backup center, and also could lose Gasol. The deal would be Korver or Brewer + Omer Asik for Mayo
